Dell latitude d600 blinking battery light

I just bought a new battery for my dell latitude d600 laptop and the battery light on it is still blinking orange 4 times then green once and it doesnt seem to be taking a charge when the ac power cord is plugged in and i dont know why can u help me with this problem

I have a Latitude c640. When the charger is not pluged in the light on it is solid green but imediatly when it is pluged into the laptop it starts blinking and the laptop doesnt recognise it is plugged in (no power with or without battery) but beyond that everything works fine AND DONT tell me its the BATTERY Because ITS NOT.

I would say its defective. Bring it back to where you bought it and show them. Bring your laptop charger also so you can show them it in action. Hope this helped.

My Dell laptop d600 suddenly shut off and will not power back up....led light on adapter blinks when plugged in...I have tried re-inserting RAM modules but this or nothing else seems to work.. thank you...

Unplug your battery and then plug in AC adaptor and see if laptop powers on. I assume you power button doesnt turn on at all? If so, your motherboard seems to have a power issue. Unfortunately, you have to replace motherboard. If laptop. powers on withour battery then you then battery needs replacement.
