Troubleshoot Bissell Lift-Off Revolution Pet Vacuum Cleaner

Bissell Lift-Off Revolution Pet Vacuum Cleaner just shut off while I was using it. I tried a different plug. Is there a reset button or do you think the motor burned out? Fix or replace?

Vacuum keeps overheating and shuts off. I have cleaned all the filters, etc and it still does it.

Probably a hose clog. Check the hose on the back of the cannister. Most likely clogged where it attaches to allow debris into the cannister. If cannister is not filling up, that's a sure sign. To remove from top of back of cannister, just turn the ring on the end of the hose to release. Take it outside and push a long thin object through it to force out the clogged hair or debris. The motor is designed to shut off the vacuum cleaner for 30 minutes when this happens to avoid burning up your motor.

I assume you mean the vacuum motor isn't running, could be the switch, cord or the motor, If you are able, I would start with the switch.

It won't pick up. I cleaned all of the filters. what next?

I would try changing the belt. A worn, stretched or broken belt can cause the vacuum to not pick up well. Here is a link to the belt you need and the manual which has instructions:

The brush is not working anymore

Your drive belt is probably broken. They usually need to be changed every 6 to 12 months. If you haven't replaced the belt recently I would try that. You can get the belts you need through this link and also view the manual which has step by step instructions on how to change the belt. hope this helps!

Hair gets stuck in upper filter basket instead of going into the lower basket that you are supposed to empty. It is a Bissell 37604 Lift-Off Revolution Pet Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner

Check both filters. If one or other is increasingly dirty, wash or clean it out. Also check the air waves leading to the bagless bin canister part. If one air way is blocked the remaining dirt will try and access the bin other way due to the natural vacuum suction aspect.

Bissell Lift Off pet revolution vacuum losing suction

You may have a clog in the hose. Unhook the hose and see how the suction is there, if ok, then check the dirt inlet by the brush roll. If suction is low at the hose, then there is a clog in it.
