Not sure if you have tried this, it is supposed to be the "fix all" for the E7, but it will erase all of your data, settings, and personal information like contacts, ets... Enter *#7370# and when prompted for a code, enter 12345(default nokia lock code)

Have you tried a reset by holding the power key down for 10 seconds?If that doesn't work you can try removing the battery for a few seconds.
I had a similar problem with my E7, it was dead and wouldn't respond even when I plugged it into my PC. But once I had removed and replaced the battery it was working fine and its not gone wrong since. Here's a good guide on removing and replacing the battery

Probably touch screen has the problem,once a phone got drop off the ground will lead touch screen malfunctioning.For sure this phone is under warranty when bought for 2 weeks,just visit your authorized dealer or nokia care center for parts replacement, changing the entire unit would be better of course buying an expensive phone then having a problem for several days makes us sick.demand for a change unit if possible.
