How do I download songs onto my phillips gogear cam

  • Charge your Philips GoGear ViBE for at least three hours before turning it on.
  • 2 Insert the small end of your mini USB cable into your GoGear ViBE. Insert the other end of this cable into one of your computer's USB ports. Turn your GoGear ViBE on by pressing and holding the "Power" button for two seconds.
  • 3 Insert the Philips GoGear ViBE software disc into your computer's CD-ROM drive. Follow the onscreen prompts to install it.
  • 4 Open "Computer" from the "Start" menu and locate the GoViBE icon to make sure it has been successfully connected to your computer.
  • 5 Navigate to your music files. If you're unsure about their location, start by looking in the "Music" folder under the "Start" menu.
  • 6 Drag and drop your music files from their folder onto the GoViBE icon in your "Computer" window.
  • 7 Right-click the USB icon with the green arrow, located in your taskbar, to disconnect your device. Click "Safely Remove hardware," then wait until your computer confirms that it's safe to remove the device. Disconnect the USB cable from both your computer and your GoGear ViBE.
  • 8 Select the musical note icon from the main menu of your GoGear ViBE to open your music files. Navigate to the sub-folders section, and select a song from either the artist, album, track list or genre. Press the "Play/Pause" button to begin playing a song

How i can change the genre of the song to organize my mp3

Open Windows Media Player 11
Right-click a song on your computer that you want to change and select "Advanced Tag Editor"
Change the Genre
Now, you must delete the version of your song off your GoGear (the ones without the genre), and then resync the newly-edited song using Windows Media Player.
It is slow and painful, but you cannot make these edits once the song is already loaded onto the GoGear. Also, you cannot simply sync the newly-edited songs onto the GoGear once you are finished with the edits, without first deleting the song off the GoGear, because the GoGear would otherwise think, "Hey, this song is already on here, I'm going to ignore you now!"

Dosn't let me play my songs

The songs have a DRM license that the mp3 player doesn't like - the songs could have a fixed-term license (which means they expire). Download only songs in mp3 format and you won't have that problem.

Problem in files downloading onto GoGear SA5125

Subscribe to an online music service that is compatible with your GoGear, such as Rhapsody's Mp3-Only service - I repeat MP3 ONLY - no other Rhapsody service will work.

Use Windows Media Player to transfer songs to your GoGear, or Rip CD's into Mp3 format - I repeat MP3 FORMAT - using Windows Media Player.

Videos must be transferred using the Philips (Arcsoft) Media Converter that came on the installation CD. You can also get this program from Philips website.

You will only be able to transfer photos to your GoGear if you have used the installation CD that came with the player. It contains a critical file that Philips has never posted to their website called the Philips Device Plug-In.

How can i download songs onto my GoGear mp3 without that disc thingy?

Get the software from www.usasupport.philips.com - Use Windows Media Player to transfer and delte songs from your player. Older GoGear's (HDD models) require Windows Media Player 10. Most SA models are fine with Windows Media Player 11.

Philips GoGear Glitch

Make sure that there is available memory. If there is, then you will need to do a firmware upgrade and reload the songs onto the player. If you already have the latest firmware, then you will need to reformat the player either in Windows Media Player or the computer. If that fails, use the repair function in the Philips Device Manager.

Mp3 phillips

There are a few possible answers:
1)Start simple - disconnect the GoGear from the computer - let it update - then reconnect it to the computer; if this fails, restart your computer and try syncing again

2)You need a firmware upgrade to make the device compatible with your computer: just open up Philips Device Manager (Start --> All Programs --> Philips) - if you don't see it, then re-run the installation CD or grab the "Device/Firmware Manager" from the Philips website; click on the update tab

3) The songs have Digital Rights Management (DRM) protection.Try re-downloading the songs without DRM protection.

4) The songs are in a format not recognized by the GoGear. The GoGear, for instance, will not take iTunes files b/c they are AAC format. With MP3 files, the player supports 32 –320kbps. With WMA: 5-192kbps with sampling rate 8.0kHz up to 44.1kHz. Right click the song file, and select "Save As", and then change the format of the song file. Or, redonwload, in the above-said format.
