Can anyone help me find out where I can purchase a replacement on/off switch for our Bosch WFK 2401 washing machine and tell me how I find out how to install it. The problem is that the switch will not stay on (it trips off immediately or after a short while). My wife has taken to jamming it in to keep it on (using a hair grip!), but I think this is risky in case the switch is tripping for a real reason. Mind you, the machine runs perfectly when the switch is held in.

I wouldn't. Not without a proper shelf for the washer.
Washing machines are heavy because there's a huge lump of concrete placed over the drum to dampen down any vibrations. A tumble dryer is hollow, has little structural strength.
Put the machine on top of the dryer, you're going to get a crushed dryer if not a crushed foot, leg or child. Please be very careful.
Remove rear panel of washer.
Remove drive belt.
Unscrew the 2 bolts that hold motor to tub back.
Remove motor plug
Lever notor back with a screwdriver or similar, keeping a firm hold on motor.and remove motor
At the rear end of motor away from pulley you will see the brushes and the armature.
Remove brushes, and if there is less than 4 or 5mm of carbon left, then replace them.
Lightly clean the armature with emery cloth.
Refit in reverse order. Test.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.
