I am trying to open a Sony Vaio VGN-N130G (a.k.a. PCG7T1L), but there is one screw in the middle of the laptop that I can't seem to get to. Can you tell me how to get to it?
yup, i have the same exact problem on the same laptop. there's a screw or something holding it from the inside right around where the F5 key is. I'm trying to open it so i can fix the AC plug, its not charging anymore. so any help from anyone would be appreciated.

download knoppix (http://www.knppix.net) and burn it the .iso to CD. You will be able to boot just from the CD-ROM and back up all your photos to thumb drive.
usually there are screws coming upward from the bottom to remove the keyboard, then you have to remove the palmrest which the touchpad is integrated into.
all machines are slightly different for accessing the components, but if you flip over the laptop look for some screws on the bottom that hold an access plate. the hard drive is about three by four inches.
