SOURCE: we want to hook up

Hi...
Without a huge mess, I would suggest one of the multi-speaker selectors that partsexpress.com sells or a similar item.
Just put "speaker slector" in their search engine.

If youre going to 8 other rooms..you might try a couple of wireless speaker systems too. They work in stereo and ....no wires

How do i connect my sonance 275 SE amplifier to my denon receiver

The answer depends on if you have external speaker level volume controls (usually in-wall type) between the amp and the speakers.
If yes, hook the RCA cables from the 275 inputs to the Denon's Tape Output. With speaker level volume controls set to max, use the level controls on the front of the 275 to set max level desired in each room.
If no, then you must use a line level volume control between the Tape Output and the 275.

Control room out issues

There is a volume control where you select the source of the control room signals. There is NOT a slider type fader. The same pot that controls the phones varies the control room speakers.

You could also use one of the AUX to drive your control room speakers, however they are usually used to drive the stage monitors.

Trying to hook up Zone B stereo speakers in two additional rooms.

The infrared mentioned by the manual is most likely an extension possibility to use the remote control in each room, forget that part.
What you need to do is quite simpel, after connecting all speakers, you should indicate in the setup menu of each zone which speakers are connected and do as follows:
in main room select 5.1 setup, for the other zone select only the left and right front speakers.
Your EXTRA SP indicates the extra speakers for 7.1 setup and when set to zone B it recognises only 1 speaker.

So read carefully the manual how to connect Zone 2 speakers and connect that way, than carefully walk through the setup menu to setup the zone 2 correctly.

I have a Denon 2308CI. I use the 7.1 suround. I have my sony STR DE995 to use as a second amp for zone two hook up. My goal is to watch a movie in the living room and listen to the radio or any other audio...

the mani surround room should be connected to the front speakers A, Center, sub pre-out and surround.
for the other two rooms connect them to surround/back, go into settings and in power amp assignment assign the surround back speakers to the multi room.
once this is complete with your remote in the zone2 control mode you can play your sources in zone2 and control the volume also, if you have inwall volume controls set the zone2 volume to -10 and use the room controls.
To listen to the same source in both zones you will have to select that source in both zones

Yamaha v-663 reciever

Most amps will only power two sets of speakers direcrly hooked to amp (A&B). If you want audio throughout the house, I would recommend a PA system set up with individual room volume controls
