3com wireless router and Sympatico

I'm trying to connect my 3com wireless router (model# 3CRWER200-75) and did the 3com Wizard through 192.168.1.1 website. But I can't get the Sympatico on the PC to start up thereby not able to open the Internet Explorer. What settings do I need to enter in the Wizard to have the router and the Sympatico modem (model Speedstream 4200) to mate up? Thanks in advance!!

The router is wireless and has 4 ethernet ports. Everything used to work until I had reset the 3com router. When I tried to start up everything, I was able to go to the 3com Installation Wizard website but I could not open any other websites. I tried to "connect" the Sympatico but gave me an "Error 678". Please help!!! Thank u!

When I try to connect to a lot of site this sentence appear on the page: You have tried to access a site that has been blocked by the 3Com Router. Please contact your System Administrator to have this...

Seems as though whoever installed your router set it to block those sites. You will have to connect straight to router with data cable and set it up again. What model is it? Try going to web site looking up model and find setup download: http://search.3com.com/search/en_US/query.html?qt=Setup&col=supp

3com 3crwdr100a-72 how do I reset the router

For 3com type of routers, you must connect firstly to 3com setup, By:
First: open your browser and type 192.168.1.1
Second: you will find adapter setting and reset it, it all depends upon your router's software.
Third: the easiest way is to reset it from the small button in the back of your router.

3Com® OfficeConnect Cable/Dsl Wireless router not responding

Unless, you can try another computer to connect or there is a tiny (and I mean sometimes pinhole) reset button to push, it may have seen its last day. It has happenned to me and I picked up a little 35 dollar Belkin that worked great.

Password in 3com router

What model router is it? here are some general directions: go to internet explorer, type in 192.168.1.1 and hit enter... this should bring up a login box... generally the username = admin or administrator and the password = password... (if that doesnt work look on the bottom of the router or in the manual for info) once your logged into the router proceed to the Wireless or security menu - you want to enter a WEP or WPA passcode of your choice (WRITE DOWN THIS PASSWORD) you will have to enter this password on any computer you want to connect via wifi Make sure to save your settings

Wireless

Whats the exact model # of the Speedtouch?
Well if your Modem doesn't have a WAN for a network cable (RJ-45) if all it has is a usb for connecting to a PC only I hope you have WindowsXP or Vista. Well what you can do is use your PC as a gateway like... What you would need to do is Plug the speedtouch into your PC with the usb... Plug the WAN from your router into your PC's network jack. Now you can go and do the Wireless/Network setup wizard and tell it your using a PC to connect other PC's to the net.

Don't know if you have fixed the problem, but one solution is to turn off the Windows Firewall.
