Thats a very coomon problem which is caused by a failed DLP chip. The mirrors get stuck and thats what causes the white spots they will keep multiplying untill the entire screen is filled. You will need to replace the DLP chip. You can get the replacement DLP chip and illustrated instructions on how to do the repair from www.tvrepairworld.com

Mitsubishi WD60735. Had white spots. Later lamp went. Replaced DLP Chip and lamp. Screen lights up very slightly. No sound. Green LED light is steady. Projection lamp is on. What is my problem.

Check and replace the lamp inverter too. Lamp replacement should always accompanied by the inverter too. If you wish to get some details; visit the site linked here. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

52 mitsubishi has small white dots of light that dont go away on most of the screen

Mitsubishi is replacing these DMD IC chips nationwide under an unannounced kind of recall for model #'s WD60C9, WD73733, WD57734, WDY657, WD73734, WD65735, WD60735, WD65C9, WD73840, WD65833, WD65733, WD73735, WD73833, WD57733, WD65734 and others. Call them @ 800-332-2119 and give them your model, serial # and date of purchase, tell them you have the white spots, they will set up a workorder with a local Mitsubishi servicer to come to your home and replace the DMD chip. Mitsubishi will supply the part (part # 276P595010) for free, but you must pay $200 in labor. BUT...if you ask for Shantell Hebert when you call Mitsubishi, and really push the issue, she will also pay half of the $200 labor fee, so you go from $400 to repair to only $100. Once that chip is replaced, the unit works great again!!

Mitsubishi wd60735 code 37

A 37 error code means one of your fans is bad. It would either be the DMD fan, or the lamp fan. Take the back cover off of the set and tape down your lamp safty switch. Turn the TV on and see which fan is not working, and replace.

I have a mitsubishi model wd60735 how do I get to the lamp

If you removed the plate beneath the screen on front a door should be there or it is possible it is one with the door on back--clearly marked.

White spots

Replace the DLP chip at cost between $160-$300 for the part and about two hours of your own time to do it.

Mirrors going bad. White and black spots are apperaing on my screen. More each day. It is my understanding that tiny mirrors are not turning off or on. Purchased DLP 46'' Samsung January 2007

Well here's the scoop. White spots mean that the mirrors are stuck "on" reflecting light. Black spots mean that other mirrors are not actuating and are not reflecting light. In any case the DMD bs or the DMD chip needs to be replaced by a trained Samsung tech only.
The DMD bd controls the DMD chip.
