I have a LiftMaster Formula 1 garage door opener which won't stay closed. I have to clock the remote or wall switch a second time when the door starts back up. I've checked the force adjustments. I went from both extreme settings on the "down" dial and there was no improvement. I've also lubricated the rollers and spring.
Check the down limit:
If the light bulb(s) on your operator are on the front and/or back, the limit adjustment screw is on the left side of the operator (looking from the back of the operator and facing the garage door).. If the lights are on the sides of the operator then the limit adjustment screw is on the left side (looking from the back of the operator and facing the garage door)
My garage door wont shut down if I press the door opener one time. The only way to close it to Hold on the door opener until it hits the ground. Looking at the two sensors, they appear to be fine and there are no objects around the area.
Any idea is greatly appreciated.

Door Tech failed to say "turn the Down Limit say one turn opposite the arrow, to make door close less"
Excellent advice from Door Tech! I had read many other solutions and tried to follow them, but he was the first to give the correct side of the operator box to work on.
Thanks so much!
If when closing the door it reverses to the open position and the main light flashes 10 times it is a door sensor problem. Make sure the small light on each sensor is on and not flickering ever so slightly. (check closely) Tweak them a little even though they may seem to be okay. Check for 5vdc between terminals 2 and 3 on the rear of the motor unit. If there is no voltage or if it is greater than 6vdc the logic board is bad.

We have a Wayne Dalton, 3213 Quantam opener that won't stay shut. We replaced a broken sprocket, and once we got everything put back together, this happened. We have adjusted the closing force, everything, and it still does the same thing. We are going crazy!
hey there.
I also have the Liftmaster formula 1 and the same issue is happening. It WONT STAY SHUT!! I have to hit the remote as soon as it hits the ground so it stays shut.
Did you ever find out what the issue was??? I'd be interested to hear.
Thank you,
