SOURCE: Display says printhead not installed or loose

The printheads are defective. Looks like you might need a new printer also.

SOURCE: Newly installed and getting error on printhead and ink cartridges

If that error happens every single time you turn on the printer, that pirnthead is faulty.
But if the error only happens some times, try a firmware update from www.kodak.com/go/downloads

SOURCE: kodak all in one printer instalation error codes

Unfortunately, the only way to possible fix this error is to get the printhead out and reseat it. You can do that by removing the ink cartridges. Right above where the black ink cartridge was, at the top left hand corner of the printhead, if you push up towards the ceiling there should be a button that releases the printhead. You should now be able to tilt the printhead forward and pull it out of the printer. Reseat the printhead by putting it back in the printer and pushing straight back on the back wall of the printhead. It should snap into place. Replace the ink cartridges and close the printer. If the error clears, download the newest firmware from kodak.com so this never happens again.

If these steps do not clear the error however, call Kodak AiO tech support at 1800 421 6699 to get a new printhead.

SOURCE: Error message: Printhead missing, not installed correctly or has come loose

In regards to the error message with the printhead missing or come loose......I had that issue just shortly after I installed my printer. I was going crazy trying to fix it taking it out and reinstalling which was a pain, removing the cartridges and then the printhead to no avail. Finally I got smart and disconnected the power cord from the printer itself, not directly from the outlet. Once I did that and turned the printer back on the error was gone. It might have been a fluke, but it worked for me, so you might want to try it.

I have an error message that says "printhead carriage jam". The carriage will not go to the center to see if there is a problem with the inkjet or printhead. How do I get the carriage to the center?

unplug from power and pull down the front cover and see if it will move then, if not, needs to be repaired or replaced, since printers are cheap and may be cheaper too just replace
