No matter what size of load machines shakes and walks during rinse cycle. Even with smallest of loads machine shakes and walks violently. At times it will walk so much that it unplugs itself.

There is a small arm that contacts a switch in the tub area, When the tub wobbles and strikes it you get an error code OL=overloaded. The arm is bound up and must be lubricated.
Most noises from a washing machine occur during the rinse or spin cycle. If you hear loud thumping during the spin, the load of clothes may have become unbalanced. Stop the washer and redistribute the clothes, then re-start it. Repeat these steps if necessary. This will solve your problem.
On something like this you will need to remove the washer wrap to
inspect the suspension springs & base assembly. Please see the link
provided for accessing the inside of the washer. Be sure the shipping
pins have been removed. The tub should float freely.
I had this problem as well.
I called dealer and Maytag.
They made an appointment and stood me up several times.
I finally went to place that sells refrigeration equipment and bought an anti-vibration pad.
It's a 12" square waffle pad used under large equipment to prevent them from vibrating loose on connected piping. I cut it into 4 pieces and put one under each corner of the dryer.
Problem solved, in fact it worked so well that I stacked dryer over washer, placed pads between units and have not had a problem since. I also gained a lot of space in my laundry room as well.
first make sure the shipping bolts were removed from the machine, then make sure it is level, then if it still shakes, take your fist and hit it on your head... jk, if you have it on a wood floor, or your floor isnt 100% sturdy, you cant do anything about it besides using anti vibration pads. they wont do that much tho.
The Guide Plate underneath is out of alignment,, You might have to call me on this one. The only reason I am sure of this is because when my delivery guys would deliver a direct drive washer such as your, sometimes when the machine is laid down to far on its side, it gets out of alignment. Easy fix,, Just hard to explain.
Not sure what you did, exactly. First, does the machine shake when spun empty...and then with water only? If so, you have probably failed to tighten something or misaligned something. Go over your work.
No shakes? Rearrange your load. You may have a pair of heavy wet jeans which is throwing the whole thing out of kilter. It only takes about a half pound of sodden clothing to do this.
I have the same problem, The wife likes sitting on top.
