Have no recovey disc/ how to burn one

If the Harddrive is wiped you will not be able to "Recover" anything. No operating system exists. You need a Windows Operating disk. You can buy an official one with the keys and everything anywhere u can buy PC software.

If you borrow a OS CD, do not expect it to work. You need valid keys. You have to bite the bullet on this one and buy the OS. You will also need to download and "properly" install the hardware drivers. This is not as simple as people think and if you think windows update will do a good job of installing the drivers...think again. 9 times out of ten...you will get a blue screen error if u let windows install graphic or other major drivers.

if you don't have recovery disk then just reinstall OS and you will get all drivers from Compaq site

or just send mail to HP-Compaq mail for recovery along with model no they will give you
