Runs constantly but no water entering catch tray. What can I do? Is this worth repairing? Unit is over a year old.
Dehumidifier runs well, however will not drain any water
Found out about the filter on the left side of the unit. Mine was caked with dirt and would not allow air to pass. Cleaned with nozzle from vacuum and it works great now.
Either the compressor has suffered an electrical failure, or the unit has lost it's freon charge. These are generally not worth repairing. Recommend a new unit.

Setting is below ambient humidity level (so runs constantly).
The compressor is overheating and there is no water filling the bucket. It was so hot that I could smell the plastic overheating ...
It's just over a year old. Why cant they make these better products so I dont have to buy a new one every 2 years... of course "Made In China"
runs like normal all thje time but doesnt kick in and draw water in? is it fixable or what can i do?
IT KICKS ON AND OFF, AND I KNOW THE COMPRESSOR IS WORKING BUT IT IS NOT COLLECTING WATER
Same problem with a 2-yr old. unit.. runs but does not extract water but humidity level shows 75% so bought a new LG one which shows same humidity level and works fine (extracts a lot of water)..So is the maytag worth repairing? If so, where?
Unit Running now for 3 days, Not a drop of water in catch container. We have had unit for about 4 years and never had any problems before.
Dehumidifier runs cotinuosly. Collects very little water. Digital settings don not work.
Same problem. Runs constantly but does not extract water. Did remove and clean the filter.
It's running, but it doesn't collect water
Same problem, only 1 year. Still under Warrenty (5 years). Neither Sears nor Fedders can honor the warranty. A post on the Internet shows Maytag (maybe only for Dehumidifiew, who know how they play this game?) files for chapter 6 bankruptcy protection. I guess I'll have to get a new one. Anyway, I think the unit has lost it's freon.
