Possible lamp failure but lamp light not status should blink-I have suggestions but want you to try the self check first--if set has been unplugged plug it up and turn on and when it fails:

Here's something that might also be useful. After you turn on the set, and getthe regular red blinky lights, hold down the Device and Menu buttons togetherfor about 5 seconds.
The Power light will start to flash in a two digit sequence.
For example, 3 flashes, then 7 flashes = 37.
Here are the error codes, and the corresponding problem:
12 = No error detected, check power supply.
32 = Lamp Cover is open.
33 = Air filtercover is open.
34 = Lamp abnormality
36 = Light Engine (DMD or Lamp Fan stopped)
37 = Exhaust or Lamp Ballast Fan stopped
38 = Lamp Temperature High
39 = DMD Temperature High
41 = Short is detected
44 = DVI cablebetween FMT and Engine disconnected

Replace the Lamp P/N 915PO20010 if it has never been replaced.

It sounds Lamp got broken inside, please take out lamp from TV and check its glass tube. If found broken, replace it.

Go to website Encompass Electronics.com type in your model number it will list part and part number ,you can also look for Lamp on E-Bay Encompass 1-800-638-3328 Also ck Color Wheel remove lamp take a flash light to watch when you turn TV on see if the color wheel is turning if it is defective set will shut OFF. But most likely its your Lamp.

check the current maybe high voltage occur or due to loose connection high amper occur.

I have the same tv and the same problem happened to me (Actualy twice). It turned out to be the color wheel motor. thats what the clicking noise is.

One must be very careful of the quality of the replacement lamp. Many of the cheap 'deals' on the web for replacement lamps are substandard. I always recommend that replacement bulbs be the original manufacturers bulb.

1. Unit powers on and works properly for a while then shuts off with a red lamp LED (lamp error). Suspect bad lamp part # 915P020010 2. Lamp enable line at J14 pin 6 does not switch to 5 volts after turn on, 12 and 5 volt supplies are good. Suspect the Light Engine part # 939P977010 3. Check for 12-volts DC at J-9 connector pin 4 on the Engine Driver PCB, if missing check for an open F9A09 on the Power PCB, if it is open replace F9A09 part # 283P127060 and the Light Engine part # 939P977010 5. Lamp enable line at connector J14 pin 6 on the Engine Driver PCB switches to 5 volts after turn on but does not go back to 0-volts (low) after 5 seconds, 12 and 5 volt supplies are good. Suspect the Light Engine part # 939P977010 6. Check for 5-volts DC at J-9 connector pin 1 and 2 on the Engine Driver PCB if low or missing check C9A37 and C9A38 both 3300 UFD 10 V part # 181P732040 on the Power PCB part # 930B929001
