tip

How to format Hard drive/flash drive

This is a tip explaining step by step how to format your Hard drive. This is as easy as 1 - 2 -3, so lets get the ball rolling.

Firstly, you need to know that this method can also be used with Flash drives, MP3 players, basically any removable drive.

If the drive you would like to follow is a internal Hard drive, and you would like to format it to NTFS format, here is how we do it. Remember, that you will not be able to format your C(System) drive, because, then you will delete your operating system, hence, all other drives can be formatted.

Open "My Computer" and follow these steps:

The drive shown above is your C(System) drive, If you want to format this drive, you will need to do this when you attempt a clean install of windows.

Say you want to format your flash drive, insert the flash drive into your USB port, and open "My Computer". My flashdrive is Labeled Lexar(H)

Now just follow these steps.

Now you are done, the drive has been formatted. Remember, this also works on internal Hard drives, but not your system drive.

Hope you can find this helpful.

Please rate accordingly.

Kind regards
