Assembly for pse stalker bow

The bow came and I attached the limbs, but I am not sure what the included fur and orange tag are for. I am also not sure why the instructions talk about stringing the bow with a leather pouch and string when no such thing was included.

I need to find out what model my bow is. serial # 2307711

look inside the limb pockets or under the grip. most of my hoyt recurves were stamped under the riser grip. You'll find a set of #'s @ the base of the limbs but that's batch ID , draw weight , leanth. for just the bow limbs not the riser, ( talking recurve here) with a compound you'll prob. only find one set of #'s.
you will need a bow press to break down a compound.

good luck & good shooting

Squeaking noise when drawing back Barnett vortex bow

The four rubber grommets where the string is attached to the limbs need some DRY lubricant. When drawing, the grommets 'slip', and that slip 'plucks' at the string creating the creaks. Keep applying dry graphite to these points and the bow will quiet up nicely.

When released the bow makes a clacking noise like the string is slapping the limbs.

remove string and check limb pocket inserts and limbs for delamination or coming apart. You can buy string dampners if it is just string slap.

Why does the bow length need to match my draw length?

The bow length needs to match your draw length because the bow limb is designed to be used at a particular draw length range. For instance if you use a bow with limbs too long for your draw length, you won't be able to flex the limbs enough to make them efficient.

What's a crossbow?

In a crossbow, the limbs of the bow, called a prod, are attached to a crosspiece in order to allow for mechanical pulling and holding of the string. This mechanical pulling allows for a much larger draw weight than could be drawn by hand. A crossbow is mostly recommended for hunting

What is 'stacking'?

This isthe amount of increase in weight as the bow is drawn. It occurs in all bows, but can be intensified in three ways. First, the bow may be too short for thedraw length. A longer bow could help this problem. Second, the ratio offiberglass weight or thickness should also be increased. Third, the moreradical the limb design the more the stack will increase. This means that at agiven limb length the bow weight, a more pronounced recurve design, will stackmore at full draw. The use of multiple tapers in a limb can also causestacking.
