SOURCE: My husband owns a 370Braun razor-he wants to replace the top part

You can get the foil screen and the cutter block as a set, since it is recommended to replace them as a set, in case the blade cartridge had a damaged cutter blade that could ruin the new foil screen.

You can get them from Electric Shaver Store or look elsewhere for Braun Item#: 5774761 UPC: 4210201635000

Here's a link to them, they are temporarily out of stock, but they get them in frequently.

Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!

SOURCE: I need instructions on how

Here is a link to a short video on Youtube which demonstrates fairly well the procedure for disassembling a Braun 6520 model:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7U-A4MC2A8

The procedure outlined in the video will be similar to the one required for disassembling your model 7526 shaver. Here is a link to the user's manual for that model in case you do not have it already:

http://www.service.braun.com/line/SH/S5493/S5493_14_NA.pdf

To view the Youtube video or the Owner's Manual with Operating Instructions just use your mouse to click on the link, which is the underlined and highlighted text just above. This will open a new web browser page automatically for you and allow you to view the information at the website indicated and the contents of the Owner's Manual.

You may need ADOBE READER installed on your computer to read PDF documents.
You can download this free at WWW.ADOBE.COM if necessary.
Click on the DOWNLOAD ADOBE READER button on right side of the ADOBE home page when you get there, then follow the onscreen instructions to install the software on your computer.

Please comment back here to this page if you have any details to add, have any questions, have difficulty accessing the links, or just require further general assistance and I will respond as soon as I see it.

I hope that was helpful to you, good luck and take care.

Joe.

Can anyone help with some advice for home razor repair?

After dropping the razor it is very difficult to know what the problem is without examining it. Based on the symptoms you describe, I would guess that the the 'drive unit' is damaged. You will find this part available at shaveroutlet.com. See link below. Scroll down the page for installation help video

My cleaning container will not go to green after I insert a new cartridge. Never had this problem before. This is my fifth Braun shaver. I have a pulsonic. It is about thirteen months old. Shaver works...

Are you using the cleaning solution? On the following web blog, it talks about the razor, and mentions the cleaning solution, that is needed:

I saw similar problems reported on the net, and they had to send the unit in for repair and replacement of some "parts".
You might contact Braun, and see what support they can offer you. Here's their site:

Good luck, and hope this helps.

Looking to replace the head of a Braun 549 series. Can't find a replacement. Was told the 7000 series would fit and they aren't the same. Please help???

http://www.amazon.com/Braun-70S-Cassette-Replacement-9000/dp/B001VEK1HQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1305831009&sr=8-1 thats the exact replacement head its doesnt go by series it goes by the 4 digit number on the side, which on the 549 is a 9585,braun has made it confusing as hell to get the right part, its a series 7 razor but has series 549 on it but to get replacement parts you need to look for 9585. that is the correct part for your razor though.

Disassemble a braun Clean & renew razor cleaner

To open model 8985 you will first need to gently pry off the 'cap' on the bottom that surrounds the hole where the cord plugs in. Once removed the side grips will pull off revealing 4 screws. Remove screws to take off back cover and access insides. Inner parts simply lift out.

If replacement parts are required, you will find all components for this model at shaveroutlet.com

The razor head comes loose from the two arms.

I had a similar problem where one of the side covers popped off. I was able to reattach it, by carefully aligning the spring and pushing back into place. If you've lost the pin, you're out of luck. Braun does not make these kinds of parts available for user servicing, unfortunately.

However, the 7000 series models are all compatible with each other in terms of motor, battery, and razor head armature. You could try locating a moderately used example on the cheap (maybe less than $20) and then cannibalize it for the parts you need.

Do NOT send it off to Braun for servicing, as you will be charged much more than the shaver is worth. If it comes to that, you're better off just going with an 8000 series shaver.
