Thanks for trying hun but I already tried that site. The problem with that download is that when the options for sync come up ...contact are grayed out as though that isn't an option. Which of course is the whole problem to begin with

I have searched and searched on this problem. I have the same phone, and it drives me crazy how things are set up.
First of all, with Windows Vista (which I have, as well), we cannot use ActiveSync; it's not compatible. We have to use the Windows Mobile Device Center. You have this, correct?
Second, in order to transfer our contacts from the phone to our computer, we need to use Microsoft Outlook. Apparently they used to send a copy of Outlook with phones like this, but they stopped doing that. So basically, they force you to buy another product, which is useless when there are great free Email programs, such as Mozilla Thunderbird. The only thing I would be using Outlook for would be for contacts for my phone. But Outlook alone costs $110. Come ON. I purchased the Office Home and Student suite, which doesn't include Outlook, unfortunately.
There is no other program that I know of that allows us to transfer our contacts. I wish we could use the standard Windows Contacts that our computers have, but of course they don't let us. *sigh*
Hope this helps a little, at least. ._.

As i have noticed that there no possible way by which you can copy your
contacts from phone memory to the memory card. But there is a possible
way by which you can have a backup of your phone memory with the
contacts to your memory card. As you said that you have to move all the
contacts, you can save all the contacts in your pc and when ever
necessary you can just use the contacts with the help of your computer. With the help of nokia pc suite you can save all the contacts of your
phone memory and sim memory. In the pc suite you will get an option
where you can do a backup of your data from the mobile phone. If you
want to see your contacts in your mobile, then there is a possible way
by which you can save your contacts, you can save all the contacts in
your pc using pc suite and try to save all the contacts in a word pad,
after that transfer all the data from the pc to the phone
I try this sms transfer days ago. It could save the sms to pc and restore back to your cell phone. It get the job done well. But it just support the phone running on Windows Mobile System. Here is the user guideline of the software. http://www.godswmobile.com/transfer-sms-from-windows-mobile-phone-to-pc.html
There are two ways to enter contacts on the blackjack i 607 on your PC. The first one is outlook and the second one that I would recemend is call Mobile Back-Up. It is a service that AT&T offers it will back your contacts to a server in case you lose your device. It also allows you to create, edit and delete contacts via the internet. The service is $1.99 a month. mobilebackup.att.com
Without seeing the error files, it's hard to say what the problem is, here's a few guesses
1. Did you type your contacts into the default contact list? This is the one at the top of the Outlook folder list. You should NOT create a subfolder because ActiveSync by default only synchronizes that one file.
2. You may have an antivirus or internet security program that is preventing ActiveSync from synching. This would show up in the error log. To try this, turn off:
- Any firewall programs (including the Windows default one)
- Any antivirus programs
- Any internet security programs
If this solves your problem you should add them back one by one to isolate the issue. Then when you find the problematic program, manually add ActiveSync to the list of always allowed applications.
