Scanner failure

You should reset the printer
To reset it:

1.Unplug it (remove the cable physically) from wall or from back side of the unit
2.Keep two buttons down at the same time:
a.cancel button (pink one)
b.right arrow
Buttons have to be kept together!
3.Plug the printer again (don't release buttons!)
4.After that light under three large oval buttons should turn on for a second (short blink).
If that doesn't help - repeat it. If second trial fails - reinstall the driver which is located here or go to HP service.

If you are satisfied, please rate or/and leave a testimonial. Thanks!

Hi, I just need to cancell a print job. It must be so simple, but I can't discover how! I have a CLP-310 purchased May last year.

(If your operating system is Windows) Click "Start" then, "Printers and Faxes", now in the Printers and Faxes folder, double click the Printer's icon, again on the new windows, click "Printer" menu and then click "Cancel All Documents" again "yes" and close all the windows and programs.
Turn off the printer and turn back on after a couple of minutes. If this doesn't clear the print jobs, repeat the same procedure and restart both the computer and the printer. This will definitely cancel all the print jobs/queues.

If you need further help, let me know with a little more details.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

I started a wash cycle, needed to add more laundry, press the pause/cancel buttom twice, now I can't start it again. When I press the start buttom everything goes blank, all lights go off

Remove the power plug and keep aside. Keep the sart button pressed on to discharge. After 15 minutes switch on the washer while holding the pause/cancel button.
If the set does not come back to life it iis possible that the main board has encountered some errors.
Repeat the procedure after some time.

I have a Dell Printer 5100cn it is tied into ten PC's through a router, no Server. The IP address keeps changing, and I can not figure out how to set it manually. The other Dell printers let me set-up...

Why do you need to set it manually? More than likely this is because of DHCP settings on the network which keep issuing a new IP address...anyways...here are the instructions....
To set the IP address, subnet mask, and gateway on the printer to match the printer settings page, perform the following steps:
  1. Press the Menu button.

  2. Press down%20arrow%203100cn.jpg until Configure appears, and then press right%20arrow%203100cn.jpg or return%20arrow%203100cn.jpg.

  3. Press down%20arrow%203100cn.jpg until Network appears, and then press right%20arrow%203100cn.jpg or return%20arrow%203100cn.jpg.

  4. Press down%20arrow%203100cn.jpg until TCP/IP appears, and then press right%20arrow%203100cn.jpg or return%20arrow%203100cn.jpg.

  5. Press down%20arrow%203100cn.jpg until IPAddressSetup appears, and then press right%20arrow%203100cn.jpg or return%20arrow%203100cn.jpg.

  6. Press down%20arrow%203100cn.jpg until Panel appears, and then press return%20arrow%203100cn.jpg.

  7. Press the Cancel button.

  8. Press down%20arrow%203100cn.jpg until IP Address appears, and then press right%20arrow%203100cn.jpg or return%20arrow%203100cn.jpg.
The cursor is located at the first digit of the IP address.

  9. Press down%20arrow%203100cn.jpg to enter the numbers for the IP address.

  10. Press right%20arrow%203100cn.jpg.
The cursor moves to the next 3 digits of the IP Address.

  11. Repeat steps 9 and 10 to enter all of the digits in the IP address, and then press return%20arrow%203100cn.jpg.

  12. Press the Cancel button.

  13. Press down%20arrow%203100cn.jpg until Subnet Mask appears, and then press right%20arrow%203100cn.jpg or return%20arrow%203100cn.jpg .

  14. Repeat steps 9 and 10 to set Subnet Mask, and then press return%20arrow%203100cn.jpg.

  15. Press the Cancel button.

  16. Press down%20arrow%203100cn.jpg until Gateway Address appears, and then press right%20arrow%203100cn.jpg or return%20arrow%203100cn.jpg.

  17. Repeat steps 9 and 10 to set Gateway Address, and then press return%20arrow%203100cn.jpg.

  18. Turn off the printer, and then turn it on again.

My computer keep saying my 9650 printer is out of paper but it isn't

Try this:

Connect your printer and power it on. In the flag just cancel it. If it does help, go to printer and faxes, select the printer, then cancel all printing job wait for a moment until it disappear.

If nothing happens for sometime. Feed some paper to it, say 1 piece of paper, reactivate printing job, if print then no follow up paper it will flag again out of paper. Select cancel.

If it still doesn't work switch off and on the printer and repeat the process again.

Hope it helps you

Unable to cancel a job

Sounds like the printer spool is frozen.

Assuming you're using WinXP and logged in as an administrator (or with admin permissions)

START
Control Panel
Administrative Tools
Services

Locate the "Print Spooler"
Right click on this and choose "restart"

This will restart the print queue and will probably try to print the job again or delete it properly. If it tries to restart, just right click on the printer job and choose cancel again..

You may need to repeat but that should at least get you back up and running with other print jobs again.
