HOLD down the + on the VOLUME untill something pops up
then from there you do the rest

Also before you hold down the on the volume button make sure you plug it in your computer!!

here is a link, you should go there and this support site will help you to repair the player.
I think you will finally have to upgrade the firmware of it but this function has been written on this site step by step.

1. try reset.
2. If 1 doesnt work, try fw upgrade
3. if 2 doesn't work, try to do repair function by using device manager
4. still doesnt work, i m afraid you hv to send it to repair centre ( pls be reminded that u hv to bring purchase invoice) :)

Select under Product support the required software & drivers.

you should check first that your USB port work properly.
You can see its status in the device manager. By right klicking and then properties you will find out USB port status. If it will say that you have a problem, go thru the troubleshoot process, in case it will tell you that the device is working properly,go to the driver tab and then to the uninstall and remove the drivers.
Now move back to the device manager main screen and on top klick on the action tab then on scan for hardware changes, it should install the drivers again and hopefully it will fix your problem. Good luck!
