THe dryer quit working a few weeks ago and then I tried it again and it worked for another week. Now when you push the start button it comes on for about 10 minutes then stops. It heats and turns and the timer runs. It seems like it is something in the start button.
If it starts right back up after stopping there is an electrical problem maybe at the motor start switch. If you have to wait for an hour before it will start again then the problem might be that the motor needs to be cleaned of a lint build up.

look in the vent line for a small disk shaped overload with two wires coming out of it. it may be bad. also check for a lint build-up in the exhaust line out of the blower. check the damper outlet going out of the house for a build-up of lint.

bjsouth Most likely the problem with your dryer is bad motor. It is not repairable and has to be replaced. If you feel you can do it yourself, let me know and I'll help to buy new motor and provide you with instructions how to replace it. Gendos...post back
