Light on base is blinking

Any idea why the light on the base would be blinking whether the phone is in the cradle or not? Have unplugged and replugged but still blinking. Can't find a manual online that can explain it. Thanks for the help.

My CL80101 will not register, what to do?

1. When the new handset says "Connecting..." and goes
nowhere else, enter *331734 [menu] and it will soon
beep and display "Not registered"

2. To register the new handset to your base: on the base
press the "Handset Locator" button and hold it until the
"in use" light comes on ( ~ 4 seconds ), then release the
button and set the new handset into the base phone
cradle. After ~ 30 seconds it will beep and display
its "Handset #" (next in sequence).

3: Note: the base handles a maximum of 12 handsets.

If your system was fully populated ( ie, a handset is
already # 12 ) you will have to clear all the handsets
from the base and re-register them all in sequence.
( it is the only way to 'rescue' the places occupied
by the lost handsets ).

To clear the base of all registrations:

1. Press and hold the the "Handset Locator" button
until the "in use" light lights and then starts to blink
( ~ 10 seconds ), release the button --
then press it again briefly while the "in use" light
is still blinking.

2. The base will beep and all handsets will display
"Not Registered"

3. Follow the instructions above for each handset
in turn: press "Handset Locator" ~ 4sec
( in-use light on ), set handset into the base
cradle, etc.

The manual is available from: www.manualslib.com
but does not fully describe these procedures.

Out of range or no pwr at base

It sounds like the handset has "lost" its registration with the
base ( or a replacement handset is being introduced ? )
Either way, the handset displaying "Out of range..." is now
orphaned and must be deregistered and then re-registered
to the new/current base.

1. To de-register the orphaned handset from the old base:
When the orphaned handset says "Connecting..." or "Out of..."
enter *331734# (menu)
and it will soon beep and display "Not registered"

2. To register the new handset to your base:
press the "Handset Locator" button on the base and hold
it until the "in use" light comes on ( ~ 4 seconds ),
then release the button and set the new handset into
the base phone cradle. After ~ 30 seconds it will beep
and display "Handset #" (next in sequence).

3: Note: the base handles a maximum of 12 handsets.

already # 12 ) you will have to clear all the handsets
from the base and re-register them all in sequence.

All of a sudden my CS 55 with plantronics stopped working. It shows that its on but the headpiece isnt charing and also doesnt work. Any ideas why?

If the Plantronics CS55 wireless headset shows that it is on, you have to make sure of the following things.

a. the green LED on the base turns on when you turn the call switch on from the headset.
b. the small green LED on the side of the headset is blinking.
c. the telephone headset is lifted from the cradle.
d. if the headset is not charging and the Amber light on the base does not blink when you place wireless headset on it; trying placing the headset more firmly.
e. If the headset is not charging and the Amber light on the base does not blink even after placing the wireless headset firmly on the charging cradle, you may need to change the battery.

Alternately you can try resetting the Plantronics CS55 wireless headset.

Reset Plantronics CS50, CS60 or CS55 Wireless Headset

If you have problems with the sound or connection of your Plantronics CS50, CS60 or CS55 wireless phone headset, you may want to try to hard reset it using the following steps:

Note: Ensure the IntelliStand switch (on the right side of the charging base) is in the - position and NOT the = position.

1. Press both the call control button and the listening volume/mute button for 5 seconds. When the indicator light blinks release both buttons.

2. Press the call control button again. The talk indicator light will again blink to indicate the headset is back to normal.

3. Disconnect the AC charger from the AC charging jack for 5 seconds.

4. Reconnect the AC charger.

Now give the Plantronics headset a try.

Charger light

I had this same problem and all I did was to unplug the DC adapter at the phone and plug it back in after a few seconds. The solid charge light came on immediately, like usual. I let the battery charge for several hours before using the handset again.

Base set fine - additional handsets dont work

The additional handset and the base need to "pair" first. Put the handset in the base cradle till you see the red light blinking. That's when they are paired.
