Aperion bravus 10d subwoofer no sound

The amp inside the sub has failed. Basically a sub is a mono power amp with a speaker. Though it seems to be getting power it could be that the main semiconductor that does all the work has gone open circuit. If it went short-circuit it would have killed the fuse and power.

How do i set up my subwoofer sawm40

Sounds like you have a passive subwoofer, you run speaker wire from 'front speaker receiver out' to the subwoofer, the 'subwoofer out' to your front speakers. Seem like your sub has a crossover that grabs the bass frequencies and passes off the rest to the front speakers

If you have a 'subwoofer line out' on your reciever and a 'line in' on you subwoofer then just use that single wire, this would be for a powered sub. You know that you have a powered sub if your sub has a power cord attached to it.

Htddw7600, brand new, sub amp is not working, only way to get any bass sound is to unplug the sub cable from back of main amp and touch it on side of sub out port.

H?,
You have a very good system...one of the best of SONY..SUB does not get activated automatically especially on STEREO mode.DIRECT STEREO Notes • No sound will be output from the subwoofer.
.your system has Dedicated Power Amplifier for 2 Externally Driven Sub-Woofers (200W RMS x 2)..in order to activate the sub woofer amplifier you need to make a selection on the surround modes while you are switching the modes of the surround you will see the speaker position on the display of receiver as well..if you do not see the sub woofer it wont be activated..Sound Field Program (A.F.D) is a good example to test it..

Hope this helps!

Additionally please follow the instruction on your user manual to activate the SUB ,as is follows..

BASS-OUT
Low-frequency (bass) signals can be directed to the
subwoofer and/or the front left and right speakers
according to the characteristics of your system. This
setting also determines the routing of the LFE (low-
frequency effect) signals found in Dolby Digital or DTS
sources.
Choices: SWFR (subwoofer), FRONT, BOTH
• Select SWFR if you connect a subwoofer. LFE and
low-frequency signals from other channels are directed
to the subwoofer according to the speaker settings.
• Select FRONT if you do not use a subwoofer. LFE and
low-frequency signals from other channels are directed
to the front speakers according to the speaker settings
(even if you have previously set the front speakers to
SML).
• Select BOTH if you connect a subwoofer and you want
to output low-frequency signals from front channels to
both the front speakers and subwoofer. LFE and low-
frequency signals from other channels are also directed
to the subwoofer according to the speaker settings. Use
this function to reinforce low-frequency signals using
the subwoofer when playing back sources such as CDs.

Subwoofer turns on and is hooked up, but no sound.

The signal don't seems to be present to the sub input.
Try change the wire betwen the audio system and the subwoofer.

I have the klipsch sub-10 subwoofer, making noise after use

it sounds like the sub is rubbing in the voice coil.
put the speaker in upside down to what it was before.
sometimes that extra bit of downward pull is enough to offset the error.
There are speaker reconing experts out there but it is cheaper to replace the sub itself.
the sub can be replaced for sure.

Pioneer DEH-P3000IB... Hook up RCA cables to 2, 2 channel amps for front and rear control. Supposed to be able to set rear to either rear full or sub... can't find how and all I'm getting is sub response.

Here are the directions according to the manual:

1 Use MULTI-CONTROL to select
SW CONTROL.
2 Press MULTI-CONTROL to display the
setting mode.
# Press BACK to return to the previous display.
3 Press MULTI-CONTROL to select the segment
you wish to set.
Press MULTI-CONTROL repeatedly to switch
the segment in the following order:
REAR SP (rear speaker setting)—PREOUT
(RCA output setting)
4 Use MULTI-CONTROL to select the desired
setting.
Turn to change the setting.
When REAR SP (rear speaker setting) is selected.
REAR SP:SUB W(subwoofer)—REAR SP:FULL
(full-range speaker)
When PREOUT (RCA output setting) is selected.
PREOUT:SUB W (subwoofer)—PREOUT:REAR
(full-range speaker)
# When no subwoofer is connected to the rear
output, select REAR SP:FULL.

Hope this helps.

Subwoofer volume and sound

i had the same problem when i tried to adjust speaker output levels, distance and equalizer manually without using audessy setup..so i reset everything to factory setting (0s)..and then ran
audessy setup..reduce volume on your subwoofer to slightly above minimum(behind the subwoofer) before running the setup..once audessy setup is completed successfully..i started changing setup
manually..changed speaker config for front speaker to small (it is set as large by audessy setup), this should automatically adjust center and other speaker configuration (if not make sure to set them to small as well), then set the cross over frequency to 120..increase the volume on your subwoofer and now you should hear it fire..if this does not help..try playing some rock music with all channel streo mode..if your subwoofer does not fire even for this..then take the system back for exchange..
