Cosco 5-point omega carseat

I washed the covering of my daughters carseat (the cosco five point convertable carseat) and when putting it back together I couldn't figure out how to secure the straps, after going over the shoulders and through the back of the seat and over the bar that allows you to adjust the harness, where is it supposed to end. Normally, like on my sons carseat after going over the shoulders and through the back of the seat there is a strap connected to the seat (usually connected from the underneath of the seat) with a metal piece that the shoulder straps connect to. The problem here is that either a piece is missing or I am not seeing something. Does anyone know where the straps attach to in the back to secure them in place?

Ok I had such a hard time with this, i looked on the internet for hours and found NOTHING!! haha so i went to babies r us and checked out a similar one so here it is.
first the strap goes on the bottom, pull them even and the add the buckle, plastic buckle thing, and the other thing soft thing. then put the strap through the back of the seat (you should have two ends) not the must go OVER the adjusts! now take the metal piece that adjust the length and pull it long enough for it to reach the two straps and hook them up!! haha if this isnt good enough go to a store that carries the alpha omega elite car seats and check it out! GOOD LUCK!!

Cosco Alpha Omega

You can call the manufacturer, Dorel Juvenile Group, at (800) 219-0509, and they will advise you what to do. A carseat with twisted straps is not safe, especiallyif they involve the harness.

Make sure you also check www.carseat.org/recalls to see if your AOE is one of the ones recalled for harness issues; if so, the Dorel Juvenile Group will send you a free repair kit.

I have the cosco alpha omega elite 22-155 and i need a new cover

Dorel Juvenile Group manufactures these car seats for under the Cosco brand. You should check out their web site.
  • Check out the recall notices and make sure your seat is not listed.
  • Register your car seat so that you are informed of any future recalls.
We have taken our car booster seat apart and ran the cover through the laundry. We used the delicate cycle and COLD water. We also soaked it overnight. This resulted in a very clean cover. MAKE SURE you take several good quality photos of it so that you can get it back together again. Online manuals do not seem to exist.

There does not seem to be any Manuals on their website, but they do list a phone number. 1-800-544-1108

When I did this my shoulder pieces were screwed on. I am assuming you mean where the straps go through.
