I just bought a used Haier refrigerator model HTQ21JABRS and the freezer doesn't get any cooler than the fridge. There is only one setting in fridge for cooling 1-7 in the fridge part. Do you know how I can get the freezer to freeze?
I have the same problem, I bought the refrigerator 2 years ago, called their customer service and they told me that the compressor is most likely the problem and it has a 5 year warranty....but I have to call a service company and pay for the call for them to come out and evaluate the problem. If it is the compressor then and only then will the compressor be sent for them to install. The cost of the compressor will be taken off of the service call. So exactly how much will this cost? No one can tell me. I feel like all I am getting is the run around on something that should be covered under warranty.

The "Cold-to-Coldest" adjuster in the freezer steals chilled air from the refrigerator to add more to the freezer. It's a mechanical damper. Set it fully CCW to cold (warmest position). I also put duck tape over half the chilled air outlets in the freezer to increase the chilled air pressure feeding the refrigerator section. Set the thermostat in the refrigerator to 8 or 9 and the freezer works fine and everything in the refrigerator is 38F.
fridge settings numbers are the smallest number 1 is the coldest for the fridge
freezers or the opposite so 1 is the warmest
check the freezer door seals
is the evaporator fan (in the freezer) running? if not you cant move the cold air from the freezer too the fridge. also make sure the return air duct is not blocked. air moves from freezer, through fridge and back to freezer.
Sounds like you have a defrost problem either the Timer /Heater or Bi-metal stat is bad. you can unthaw and the unit will work fine for about a week until it frosts up again Where was this screw they said was loose?? have them check the defrost system.
good day!first and foremost, in most freezers, the highest freezing point is 7.in regards with the water dripping from the air vent hole, you have to minimize your your freezing setting to the middle.turn it to 3 or 4 freezing point.
I have a haier compact refrigerator ESR042PBB.I lost power and when power was restored the refrigerator didnt work.Th einterior light came back on but the refrigerator wont cool. I checked the back and the cooler is hot.I unplugged it and let it stay unplugged over night. The next day I plugged it back in and left it for 24hrs.It still doesnt work.
