Detergent error I keep getting add detergent message. The bottle is not empty, the pickup line is submerged in the detergent & it tests acceptable. i also get an E7 error code once in a while. Thanks

It is a 24 inch lxic. Thanks

  • Anonymous Jan 28, 2009

I think it is the board. The detergent usage is the same as it has been
since new, so that would eliminate the pump & line restriction. The
detergent is the same brand as it always has been. That leaves the board
or calibration. I have tried to adjust the trim pot on the sensor that
is around that poly line...to no avail. I have a part number 00-892715.
Does that sound right? Do you know the approximate cost? Thanks

I'm a hobart tech---been away for awhile. What is the model lxih,lx30?Let me know if you still have a problem with it.

  • Anonymous Jan 26, 2009

Is this a new machine that you just got?Did you switch to a different detergent or replace an empty bottle? The e-7 code means the unit didnt sense a chemical on the 3rd attempt. You could have a bad chemical board or its out of calberation, the chemical pump motors bad,a line is restricted or some chemicals cant be sensed by the unit (rare).Let me know.

  • Anonymous Jan 28, 2009

How do you know how to calberate the board?I'll see if thats the part number ang get you the price if i remember correctly its expensive.

Do check that detergent is actually flowing into the chamber. You can do this by opening the drawer and shorting the pins on the relay board marked detergent. Look in the chamber lower right to make sure detergent is actually flowing (you may want to replace the detergent with water for this test). If it is not replace the flexible tubing in the chemical pump (buy the Hobart tubing). Check that the red line does not have a crack. Check all lines for a plug.
If it is check the detergent lamp on the control board. If it not lit or is flickering adjust the pot on the detergent sensor slowly until the LED just lights solidly. Test that the add detergent sensor work by running the detergent line dry.

Error code f35

Too much detergent or wrong kind of detergent. If you use non HE detergent this will happen. You can remove the excess suds by running a cleaning cycle and adding cooking oil. The detergent will attatch itself to the oil and remove all soap residue, add an extra rinse to the cycle. Also run it empty.
tip

No water/detergent coming out of vac/cleaner

If you are having any trouble getting the detergent or water to come out of your vac then this could be down to one of a couple of things.

Now if the vac is new then the chances are you have not held the button down for long enough to allow the water/detergent to flow through the vac so hold the button down for a couple of minutes and it will eventually come out.

Now if you have used this before and it is no longer working then you have got a blockage problem.
The first thing you need to do is tip the vac up on its back and have a good look at where the water/detergent comes out of, you should see several little jets running along the bottom of the vac right at the front, now what you need to do is get a long pin and give all of these little jets a good poke with a long needle make sure you do this to all of the jets.

Once you have done this sit it back up right and give it a try, you may need to hold the trigger down for 2 or 3 min to let the water/detergent work its way through the vac.

If how ever it still dont work then empty the detergent/water bottle and fill it with hot but not boiling water and add a couple of table spoons of salt now put the bottle back on the vac and leave it for 3 or 4 min then switch is on and hold the button down again for 2 or 3min. Now the hot water and the salt should have broke down any build up of gel that the detergent has turned into over time.

Repeat this process 2 or 3 times to give it chance to work its way around the vac.
After doing this check the jets again and poke with a needle as the chances are the blockage has now moved and is by the jets, now give it another try.

If it still dont work then the blockage must be quite bad what you now need to do is unplug the vac and lie it on its back now if you have a good look at where the jets are you will see several screws holding the bottom part of the vac to the top part.
All you need to do is undo these screws and remember where each screw came from in case they are different sizes now once you have the screws out the bottom should come away form the top, be carefull here as the hose that goes to the jets will need pulling off once you have pulled this off the bottom should come away no problems.

Now with the bottom off you can follow the way the water/detergent goes so if you follow it from the jets you should see the hose that carries the water/detergent, so what you now need to do is follow this hose and keep giving it a good squeeze where ever you see water backed up keep squeezing it all the way along as far as you can.
You may see the blockage if you do just give it a good squeeze where the blockage is to break up the gel blockage, if you see no blockage then keep reading on. if how ever you have found the blockage then make sure you squeeze it out as much as you can .

Now put everything back together, if you found the blockage you should find that filling the water/detergent bottle with hot but not boiling water should now get you up and running just keep and eye on the jets until the blockage you found has past out the jets.

Now if you never found the blockage empty the water/detergent bottle and check where the water comes out of the bottle into the vac you should be abe to press it and see if the water flow freely out of the bottle. if it does then you need to check the part of the vac where this bottle attaches to, their should be some sort of filter where this bottle fits so have a look their and clean with a pin if blocked.
If you find no blockage then try again with the hot water to rule out 100% blockage being the problem. if you have checked and their is no blockage then this would indicate a problem with the pump or a blockage in the pump, now as the pump is not a serviceable part you cant take it apart and clean it so the only option you have is keep trying with hot water or replace pump( check any warranty before you do any work yourself)

The hot salty water should work but make take several tries until it breaks down the gel build up.

Now what they should have told you when you purchased your machine is that after every use empty the detergent bottle and fill with clean warm water and then let this run through your cleaner, you need to do this as if you leave the detergent in the bottle and leave it in the pipes inside the vac then what happens is that over time the detergent turns to a gel so making sure the detergent is gone will guarantee the vac will work the next time you want to use it

I am getting the Replace Waste Toner error on my Ricoh CL3000. I have already emptied and cleaned the waste container, and blew off the section of the printer I install the waste bottle onto, but I'm...

not a solution - but a problem... i emptied the toner waste bottle in my MPW2400 and a new error message appears...says there is no toner and it keeps dumping toner from the new cartridge until it is coming out of every orifice of the machine. What is that about?

The check waste toner bottle message keeps showing up,even though its empty

Check that the bottle is also clean from toner residue especially around the top where the lid is.

Use a clean rag or paper towel to wipe away all the toner.inside and out.

This should make the message go away

Ok maybe you can help i have changed master cylinder front right rotor and caliper all pads and shoes on drums and power brake booster and can not get the brakes working ...we have bled and bled and bled...

bleeding hydraulic lines is tricky. get someone to help you. get a big bottle of brake fluid, and don't be stingy.it takes a lot of pumps to pass air from front to back of truck. start at the furthest wheel and bleed first. use a clean water bottle punch 1/4' hole in cap use 2 ft of clear 3/16 tubeing, stick it in the cap and submerge in the water bottle which you will fill 1/3 with brake fluid. by submerging the end of the tube this will allow air to bubble out, but it will **** fluid back.you can see the air bubbles come out. All the while someone keeps an eye on the mastercylinder, do no let the mastercylinder run out or you will pump new air in....keep toping off and pass plenty of brake fluid. You will end up with no air and brand new brake fluid

Do i need to add coolant to my reservoir if it is empty, 97 chevy suburban

Yes. Before you do, remove cap on rad when engine is cool & top it up too, if needed. Keep an eye on temperature gauge for a day or 2 & coolant bottle level, just in case there is another problem.

We removed the waste toner bottle and it won't reset the error message

You will need to vacuum all the toner out as in the machine there is a sensor that looks through the waste tank and checks that it is clear. You can also wash the tank out then install it and you will not have the problem.

Thanks J
