Damp 6500s Hi, My 6500S got some dampness from sea water when my the bottom of my shorts got wet and the phone was in my pocket. Not completely saturated. Have attempted to dry it out, when I put in the battery keys light up, motor vibrates for a split second, screen backlight comes on and phone beeps. The phone also makes a beep like the battery flat sound. When I connect to the computer, sometimes it is recognised as a nokia device but then there is an error. Has anyone got any suggestions? Alternatively if someone can tell me how to disassemble to phone I can open it, clean it etc (I work for an electronics contract manufacturer) Cheers

    I've removed 6x t5 screws and removed the keypad. I can't find any screws near the ephone (unless I need a really long T6 to reach the bottom of earphone??)

You can take th ephone appart using a t6 screw driver, dis assemble the phone in an anti static enviroment, the best this to do is wash the phone down again with clean fresh water to get rid of any salt water, then leave this to dry for a minimum of 24 hours, make sure you clean all the contacts and parts thourougly. good luck
