Issue one: interior smells issue 2 : door won't open. have 1.run the cycle thru again.2 paused & started. 3 re-set. 4 turned off. 5 turned off at power point (1hr +)6. run the rinse & drain cycle...

Solution 1: leave door open when not in use and run enzyme cleaner like affresh, or 2 cups of distilled vinegar weekly until smell is gone.
Solution 2: Most of the front load waahers have a manual door lock release. This is usually accessed by removing the bottom front cover and reaching up to the door latch assembly, to pull onrelease cord/plastic ring. If door locks stuck again, you will need to replace the door lock/latch assembly.

The f13 is a door lock error. You will need to replace the door lock mechanism, could also be the wiring or connections for the lock itself so check that first. Cheap part and easy to replace.

My Whirlpool AWOE 8748 washing machine was showing error message F13. I swithced it off via the plug but the door will not open. Tried to switch it on again but no lights come on why?

The F30 error code will flash when the dispenser motor cannot be driven to its proper position.

* It could have a mechanical failure in the linkage between the dispenser motor and the top of the dispenser.
* Loose wire connection between the machine control board and the dispenser motor
* Failed dispenser motor

I have a Whirlpool AWM 6100. The light indicating door is open is on, however there is nothing obstructing the door and is is closed? Won't work with this light on, and can't open door!

Very possible the door latching mechanism is faulty because when door is closed the contacts in the switch will see condition is correct for operation and light will extinguish. With power plug pulled out, remove the lid and buy using a small screwdriver try and wedge the doot latch open from the inside. Possibly it will need to be broken off to remove. Once off, door will open then replace with new one.

Changing brushes on whirlpool awm 8145/3. Washing machine stopped working and ''door open'' light keeps coming on and cycle stops. Cannot locate brushes to see if changing would help.

this door open light has nothing to do with the motor brushes its the door switch/s there are two of them try pushing your knee on the door if it starts working again change the switches and the brushes go into the motor?

Whirlpool duet washer door is open. I can't close it because the latch is stuck in the "locked" position.

The first thing to try is to hold the cancel button for 15 seconds. The more labor intensive solution is this: Remove the panel beneath the door (2 or 3 screws). Reach up, there is a little "ring" beneath the door lock. Pull this down, it releases the mechanism.

Watch the light closely. If it blinks 7 times then pauses, this indicates a heater or door latch issue.
Press the following buttons in sequence: Hi Temp Wash, Heated Dry, Hi Temp Wash, Heated Dry, Hi Temp Wash.
If this doesn't work, check the tech sheet. (should be stuck to inside of the bottom toe panel)

All lights should illuminate then a diagnostic sequence will start.
Listen carefully, as soon as you hear the water begin to fill, open the door and feel the heater. if cold, check the heater for continuity (should be around 10ohms)
Also, bend the door catch on the dishwasher tub downward, this will engage the door latch better. Don't bend too far as it will hit the door while closing.
