What happens when you do install it? Are you running 64bit or 32bit?

You'll probably have to go to Samsung's website and download the proper drivers for it.

Testimonial: "Hi Thanks. I installed drivers from Samsung web site and still not working but looked at touchpad settings in control panel and scroll was not enabled. Not sure if this was switched off initially to cause the problem but I didn't switch it off. Thanks for the help."

How do I enable my scroll bar on the keypad??

I trust that you understand that scroll bars are only visible if more than 1 page is to be displayed. If you have magnified a particular page, the scroll bar may be outside the view of the screen - on the right side, Scroll to the left until you see the right border.
Perhaps you are referring to the touchpad.
The scroll feature on the touch pad is not visible. You enable the touchpad by tapping twice on the upper left corner of the touchpad. A lite will appear in that corner when the touchpad is ON.
Then the scrolling feature is enabled on the right side of the touchpad. Simply run your finger up and down the right side of the touchpad. For more information, refer to the User Guide here:

My scrollbar will not work. I can use my touchpad just right and right click and left click, but I cannot scroll on a page I have to use my arrow keys, how do I fix this?

Most modern laptops with touchpads offer vertical scrolling, horizontal scrolling or both. These features are located along the right-hand and bottom edges of the touchpad, respectively, and are activated when you swipe your finger along the touchpad edge. Scrolling functionality is nearly always enabled by default, but some users find the feature an annoyance and elect to turn it off. In most cases you can simply turn the feature back on using the Windows Control Panel.

Click the Windows Start button, select "Settings," and then click "Control Panel." Double-click the icon labeled "Mouse." Select the Touchpad properties tab. The labeling of this tab varies, depending on your computer manufacturer, operating system version and the device drivers installed on your machine. Common labels include "Touch Pad," "Device Settings" and "Dell Touchpad." If you do not see this option, you may not be able to turn on scrolling for your laptop; skip the remaining steps and refer to the "Warnings" section below. Click the "Settings" button within the Touchpad Properties menu and look for the section labeled "Scrolling Settings" or similar. Enable scrolling within this section and define other scroll settings, such as scroll zone width and scrolling speed. Click "OK" to confirm your changes, and then close the Control Panel windows opened in the previous steps. The scrollbar on your laptop is now enabled.
Scroll Is Not Working With Windows 7 b> Certain computer touchpads have a vertical section on the pad itself that is used to scroll through the page or program window that you are currently viewing on your computer. If the scroll functionality suddenly stops working but the actual touchpad is still fine, this means that the part of the software for the device that controls the ability to use the scroll has been disabled. You can enable it again in the Control Panel.
Click "Start." Click "Control Panel." Click "Mouse." Select the "Enable Scroll" option (or whatever similarly named option is available on your specific model of laptop computer). Click "Apply." The scroll bar on your touchpad will now work again.

My touchpad will scroll around the screen but when

Hi,

Go to the Dell support website and enter your serve tag or express service code, This will bring you to the software for your specific machine. Download fresh drivers for the touchpad, see if this resets it.

Also check the touchpad under Control Panel or Dell Utilities, and see if somehow those features or buttons were disabled.

If neither of these options work you will need to bring it to a local PC shop and they will reconnect or replace the touchpad and/or keyboard if they are attached in your model.

If they have to replace the parts they will probably get them from Ebay so if you are so inclined and they tell you they need the parts, you can get them yourself and possibly save a buck or two.

Hope this helps, I also do this type of work the CT area so if you are around there and need the service, let me know I am reasonably priced, industry certified, have passed all the Dell factory tests, and I am happy to help.

Good Luck !!

Scroll wont work

Hi

Browse to the below given website.
http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&ServiceTag=&SystemID=INS_PNT_PM_1525&os=WLH&osl=en&catid=&impid=

Choose the operating system. Download the Ricoh driver in chipset category and touchpad driver under Input Device Driver category. It must resolve the issue.

Revert back for any clarifications.

SCROLL PAD SOLUTION THAT WORKED FOR ME!!!

Well what I did was I went to CONTROL PANEL, went to the HARDWARE AND DEVICES, went to the DEVICE MANAGER which has a list of Devices. I found the MOUSE DEVICE on the list, right clicked it went to PROPERTIES go to the DRIVER TAB, and then click on ROLL BACK DRIVER. Restart your computer. and then repeat everything again. CONTROL PANEL>DEVICES>MOUSE>PROPERTIES>DRIVER TAB when u get back to the driver tab of your mouse device. click on UPDATE DRIVER. It will then find the driver automatically reinstall it for you and then restart your computer. HOPE this fixes your scroll pad. It did for me.

Zen Touch 40GB Scroll Problem.

There is a circuit board under the touchpad that has probably gone bad. You should purchase a Zen Touch with some other problem like bad hard drive or broken screen, but that has a working touchpad, and swap the outer body for the working one.
