How do i change my internal memory settings for LG optimus e400?

I currently have a 1gb sd card inserted into my phone and 800mb free, whenever i download games or apps i get an error message saying that internal memory is low and cannot download product, i have tried stopping all running apps and even deleting some smaller apps to try and free up space, but to no avail, i would like to know if anyone can help me to rectify this problem, it's a really good phone apart from this internal memory problem that keeps occurring anyone with answers please email me [email protected]

Internal memory is different than SD card memory. You only have 800MB free on your phone's harddrive, you still have 1GB of space unused on your SD card. Today's apps are large, some are even 1GB big! I would go and purchase at least a 16GB card for your phone. They are around 10 bucks now a days. Then on your phone, go to your settings and select the big apps, there should be an option to move them over to the SD card.

SOURCE: saving songs on sd memory card

1. Put a micro SD card into your phone. (Make sure it's blank)
2. Format the card from your phone. To do this go into "Menu//Settings & Tools//Memory//Card Memory" then click on "Options" that should open the format screen. Enter your security code (usually the last four digits of your cell #) and format the card.
3. Exit all menu screens by pressing the "End" button and remove your card.
4. Insert your card back into your PC. It should recognize the card and open a "Removable Disk" window. (if not, manually open this window by clicking on "Start//My Computer//drive E: or F:" , they might vary depending on your computer set-up.
5. You should see a folder named "my_music". That's where you are going to drag your music files into.
6. DO NOT open any media player. Just find the location of your music FILES. Usually if you click on "Start//My Music" your music FILES will be stored there.
7. Simply drag and drop music FILES into the folder that I listed on #5. DO NOT drag an albulm. It won't work. Just the music file.

I have a 16g sd card in my phone and when i try to download an app it tell me there is not enough space on my device why wont it use my sd card

You need to setup your phone settings to use the SD card instead of phones internal memory. Should be under the settings menu, look in the apps section and storage to find what your looking for...Change the defaults to use the SD card and NOT the internal memory.

Hope that helps.

Lg optimus logic low system memory

Only some apps can be moved to the card. Here's how to check and move the ones that can along with some other tips for freeing up space in internal storage:

1.Go to the Home screen. Press Menu and tap Settings , then Applications, then All

2. Tap each app and tap "Clear Cache". Tap "Move to SD Card" if it's not grayed out.

3. If there are any apps that you've downloaded and don't use uninstall them. The phone won't let you uninstall system apps that are essential to the phone's operation. If you aren't sure if you need an app or not install ES File Manager (which can be moved to the card) and use it to back up the app to the memory card before deleting.

4. Open Messaging, if you have any picture messages, tap on the bubble containing the picture. Tap Save attachment. After the picture has been saved, tap on the bubble again and tap Delete message. Also delete any text messages you don't need.

5. If you use Gmail, open Gmail, tap Menu, then tap Go to labels, then Trash and delete everything in Trash. If you use a different email app delete everything in its trash folder.

6. Launch the Camera, press the Menu button, tap settings and make sure that "Storage Location" is set to "SD Card".

LG-E400 MANUAL RESET

All data will be lost! Remember to back up any important data before doing a hard reset.

When the phone is turned off, press and hold the Home key + Volume down key + Power key for over 10 seconds. When the screen shows the LG logo, release the Power key.
After the screen shows the hard reset screen, release the other keys.
Leave your phone for at least a minute while it performs the hard reset, then your phone will be turned on.

anothewr way is :

reset phone to factory settings and erase all the data on your phone, touch Menu > Settings> Privacy > Factory data reset > Reset phone.

Resetting the phone does not erase any system software updates you have downloaded or any files on your microSD card,
such as music or photos. If you reset the phone in this way, you are prompted to re-enter the same information that you did when you first started Android.

Problem with my ANDROID phone!

Its because your media player library is not getting refreshed. Check whether there is a refresh option in your player settings. Or else you can try any other 3rd party players like Poweramp, which can be downloaded from the Play Store.
