Sears laundry center 92702 burning smell and won't drain spin out

You need to replace the starter cap on the motor this is why it will not turn and the smell is the cap that's not starting the motor it also will hum.

Drain pump is cloged. What kind of washer is it . and you said stacked and laundry center. stacked is 2 seperate units and laundry center is one whole unit with both so whatcha got?

check the pump under the washing machine might be a coin jammed in little fan in side the pump use a hose pipe to drain out the water

sounds like a bad dump valve. and yes you can replace it. take your serial number and modle number of the manufactures name plate down to your local appliance store and have them order the part and replace it

Hello - Does the drain pump make a humming noise? If so, you possibly have a restriction in the drain line or siphoning. Try setting the cycle to spin only and verify if water pumps out. Supposing that it does not, I would suggest contacting a professional to move forward accurately. The unit could possibly have a faulty pump, timer, or door lid (if it is a laundry center).

mine does this regular easy job if your desent at diy are you missing socks or wires from bra's as it probably the pump blocked take the pipe of the pump and see if there is any thing stuck in the pump remove it as long as pump not damaged should be fine probably get some loose change as well lol

its probably the drive belt that you smell burning under the basket,but there are numerous things that can cause it to burn,so you need to find where its froze up could be a clutch,the brake,the drain pump

The most common cause for the coupler failing is a bad gearcase. The machine should go through a neutral drain before the spin if it doesn't drain the water first it over works the motor trying to spin a full tub. No belt on this one, odor could be from the motor or the coupler starting to shred again.

could be a stuck gear box. burning rubber smell is coming from the belt sliding .

or the belt is just loose and can not turn the drum to spin it.

I've never had a smell problem like this before, but I have had the rubber lining to the door "shred", leaving eraser shavings all over the laundry. This happened with my first HE3t and I complained at SEARS and they just sent out a brand new replacement. About a month or two later, the same thing happened. I had SEARS come out and replace that rubber seal, and haven't had a problem since.

Although I can't answer on the smell, I highly suggest you keep an eye out for shavings on your laundry. Also, with the door open, at the bottom you can pull back the rubber seal slightly and expose the drain to be sure nothing is clogged or getting caught in there.
