Cabrio Washer - tub damage on very top flange

I have had my washer for 8 days, when I took a load out last night, on the top flange portion of the washer drum, along the white plastic, it looks like it overheated and melted on about 1/4 of the ring... the comforter I washed was not anywhere near the top of the washer, nor was it overloaded....any clue??

How do i take the tub out of the cabrio washer?

I have the complete service manual for the Cabrio washer. Go to
http://appliancecafe.com and click on the repair forum link on the top of the page, signup for the forum and then you will have access to the service manual area. Go to the washer section and the Cabrio service manual is the very last post. Let me know if you have any problems getting it.

Whirlpool Cabrio code F50

I also had an F50 code on my Cabrio top load washer. Went through all the diagnostics, removed the tub, checked the motor, etc. After a lot of research, purchased a new control board (part #W10189966) and....it works even better than before....no more noise and spins perfectly. Very easy to install (3 screws and one bolt.) Please don't waste your time (like we did) checking all these other areas of the machine. The part was $155. (google it for best price new) and worth it if it will last another year or more...

Whirlpool Cabrio gives intermittent F 51 code.

lean washer backward ..with torx wrench remove large bolt in center of flywheel (rotor) back bolt out until you are able to pull rotor off by hand remove 4 5/16 bolts holding stator(coils) to bottom of washer tub carefully lower stator to floor pulling wire retainers from bottom of tub makes it easier..small plug with brown wires carefully hold release clip back and pull plug on and off several times (10-12 should be enough ) reassemble unit and ck...during manufacture too much flux got on contact portion of sensor board and caused poor connection at plug..by pulling plug on and off the flux will be cleaned off(had 1 today)
