SOURCE: Cannot read Xvid ... does exist a firmware upgrade

No. you will need to convert this format to a recognizable format that is compatible to this particular unit. there is not a firmware upgrade that will assist at this time.

Having a problem with my Thomson DPL 550HT home theater. When i try to play something the sound repeatedly goes off and on in about a one second interval.

I would have to guess that the internal power supply has one or more bad capacitors. Time to take into a technician for repairs.

I need to set a passowrd for my wireless router.

The default username and password is "user". For the security settings, you need to setup WEP/WPA-PSK etc. Steps are outlined in the manual.

Here is a link to download the user manual for the GP68 http://safemanuals.com/user-guide-instructions-owner-manual/MOTOROLA/GP68%20RADIO%20TRANSMITTER-_E

On your first radio, the one we've been discussing, I believe you have the DPL code set incorrectly. Your radio will go up to the number 126, but this is not the DPL code's number. It is simply a numbering system.

If I read the chart correctly:
DPL 205 equals the number 072.
DPL 023 equals the number 043.

Disclaimer: This numbering system listed in the user guide does not follow any common numbering system. I have other TPL/DPL charts which differ. The above reference is only based on what I have read in the user guide.

I am confident if your radio worked previously at another job site, using other frequencies/PL codes, that your only issue at this time is programming.

As for your unlock issue on the other GP68. Your radio may be in need of repair. The internal button is possibly wornout or has been depressed too far, and is bent on the board beyond the point of functioning.

You may have one of them set to the wrong DPL code. Most FRS radios have a channel number and another number that corresponds to a DPL code. Try looking in your owners manual for this feature it may be known under a different description as each company calls it different things. DPL, PL, private code, user code etc.

Error message

If the "check speaker" is always turning on, it is possible the amp itself is shorted at the IC. Replace AMP IC pack or if it has N and P channel output transistors acheck them. Some amps do use a thermister and this could be burned open in circuit.
