I have a Finepix F460, and recently, I took a video, and when I erased it, and tried to take a new one, I got a card error. I tried to reformat it, but the screen just went blank. I tried to connect it to my Mac, but it won't mount, and Disk Utility said it's a locked drive.

Your camera uses "xD-Picture Card" memory cards.
To insert the memory card, you have to open the battery cover and you see a little room, where the card goes in. There should be a gold marking indicating where the contact area on the card should be when inserted.
Don't try to insert any other kind of card.
I saw a xD-Picture Card adapter, where you could insert a micro SD card, but I'm not sure your camera can work with such a adapter.
I have a brand new fuji finepix 1000fd and was having the same problem (tried two different cards). I contacted Fuji service and they said only Sandisk and Fujifilm SD cards are guaranteed to work. I bought a Sandisk Ultra II 2 GB card ($20 at Office Depot) and after 20 pictures I haven't had an error.... yet.
A card access error may indicate that an xD-Picture Card memory card is in a write-protected condition. xD-Picture Card memory cards have a special protection feature to ensure that your pictures are kept safe.
NOTE:
During this condition, you can still use the printer for printing and saving photos from the xD-Picture Card to a secure location, such as the computer hard drive.
To resolve this error, try the following:
Reinsert the xD-Picture Card memory card into your camera and turn on the camera. In most cases, the camera automatically makes the necessary changes.
Reformat the xD-Picture Card memory card. See the documentation that came with your camera for instructions on reformatting the memory card. Note that this process erases the pictures currently saved to your memory card. To save these pictures, transfer them to the computer before reformatting the memory card. Once you reformat the memory card, transfer those photos back to the memory card using the computer.
Mainboard component failure at a guess or the new battery is not up to scratch- try taking the battery back for a new one as it is a recent purchase.
If you can do that and still in trouble contact Fiji for a reapair estimate.
my camera did this after lending my camera and cord to somone else to upload pictures onto their computer, and then when i tried on my own it wouldnt let me. all i had to do though was take the memory card out and put it back in.
