I managed to drop the camera and it landed directly on the shutter release button. Now as soon as the camera is turned on, it's as if I'm prefocusing - the shutter button is already at that first level. I can push further and take a pic, but since the shutter release is "already at level 1", I can't zoom, add macro or eliminate flash, etc. Any ideas? Thanks.
You have two choices 1. take it to a repair shop and get a quote[almost the price of a new camera I wager] 2. Try your self[bearing in mind that if you cant fix it you'll have to buy a new camera] Chances are the in dropping it the button has forced it self through an aperture in the casing so that it cannot return. If you have access to fine screw drivers[Jewellers/watchmakers]slack off the screws holding the case together- done take 'em right out just slack 'em-it might pop right back out- if it does tighten up.
