NOT ELITE HE4..... Model 96595400. Replaced thermistor and Hi-Limit Stat. Probably the thermistor.

Okay...took me a while to get a good cross reference on this one. Drop the last four characters of your model number and place a "110." in front of the remaining numbers. That way the number reads 110.86921100. The "110" identifies the manufacturer. Your dryer is made by Whirlpool. If you go to searspartsdirect.com and type in the model number I provided, there are a series of drawings on the next page showing an exploded view of the layout of your dyer. Does this look familiar to you? Under the "Cabinet" heading you will find the dryer belt listed as item number 56 (part number 341241). For a diagram of how the belt goes on, go to repairclinic.com and you will find a dryer belt diagram link listed under the "Repair Help" section. Locate the Whirlpool diagrams and you will use drawing "K". I apologize if this sounds like absolute madness. If you get confused, please post back and let me know. I hope this answers your questions.

Depending on the type of door the dryer has, is how you approach the
access of these dryers. Mostly though you yank out the filter
first.Remove the 2 screws in the filter housing on top. Then use a putty
knife to pop the top. Remove the screws holding the front panel on.
VERY IMPORTANT! Raise the front up an inch before pulling forward or
the panel clips will break! Some models have a panel on bottom. If they
do then this panel must come off first. Then you remove the door
springs and back off the screws holding down the bottom of the door
panel. Then pop the top and remove the screws on top to get the panel
out of your way. Get the drum out and clean out the dryer. Oil the wheels and idler. Replace the belt using this diagram . NOTE yours is lower right:

You have to remove the front panel. The top folds back and there are 2 screws on the inside corners to release the front. Eric
