In the manual and shutter-priority modes (set the dial to "M" or "S"), turn the command dial to change the shutter speed. In the aperture-priority mode (set the dial to "A"), turning the command dial changes the aperture and the camera will set the shutter speed appropriately.

You have to replace the whole door. There is one on eBay, but you won't like the price. Find it here: eBay

SOURCE: nikon fm10 35mm SLR developed pictures turn out white

That sounds like your shutter isn't opening. take the lens of and set the shutter speed to B this should keep the shutter open as long as the release is pushed down. advance one frame and hold down the shutter release while looking at the opening where the lens should be. If the shutter opens you will hear it and see the back plane where the film would sit to be exposed. I expect your shutter won't open.

Good luck

SOURCE: Don't know how to open door latch on nikon 35mm SLR camera

You haven't stated which model you have, but generally most SLR's open by pulling upwards on the film rewind crank (the knob on the left side of the top-plate as viewed from behind). If this doesn't work then add the exact model as a comment to my answer and I'll try to give you specific instructions for your model.

SOURCE: I have a Nikon N90s /film 35mm slr. I haven't

If the switches and contacts are dirty that would do it. If that happens the cost of service may exced the cost of buying a used one.

SOURCE: how do I change the shutter speed on a Nikon EM

The EM doesn't really have a manual shutter speed setting. It does have a Bulb setting for long exposures and a 1/90 second manual for flash, but otherwise the camera automatically sets the shutter speed to go with the currently selected aperture.

Normally you would set the aperture and let the camera set the shutter speed. You can adjust the shutter speed by pressing the exposure compensation button for +2 stops. You can also adjust the exposure by changing the ASA/ISO setting.

If you need a manual, you can download one from http://butkus.org/chinon/nikon/nikon_em/nikon_em.htm

How do i advance the film to the next frame in my Nikon N65

The Nikon N65 has a built-in film advance (power winder) so all you need to do is take a photo and it should advance. If no, the film isn't loaded properly or the drive is broken.

I bought new batteries for my N65 and my camera keeps blinking ERR.

The manual mentions only 2 conditions where the Err message appears. First if it is Err + E at the same time, the film has not completely wound and needs to be reloaded.

If it is Err alone, the manual states to fire the shutter and see if the message remains. If it does, to contact a Nikon Authorized Service Rep.

N65 will not focus or shoot

Make sure it has good fresh batteries. Look at the film, make sure it is loaded correctly, or that there is film in the camera. and last look at the shutter. Open the back of the camera and the shutter is right in front of the film on the lens side of the back. if there shutter is not flat, but one or more of the little black blades are out of place then that is the problem. That shoud be sent back for service. It is not something you can push back into place without potentially doing more damage.

I have a Nikon N65 and I just replaced the batteries. When I turn the camera on, I can't change the shutter speed/aperture or anything (on any setting..manual, auto, etc) and Err flashes.

Camera has a fatal error and should be sent in for service, or replaced. A used on may actually cost less than repairing your old one. Check out KEH.com

Nikon N65

cmhennings,
If you haven't found out by now mode settings are:
M = Manual
A = Aperture
S = Shutter
P = Program
If you are looking for a manual or just a camera manual in general check the public library photographic section to learn more about film cameras, you may find a N65 book
