I had D-Link router DGL-4100 connected to cable modem, and to D-Link switch DGS-1008D, and working OK. Switch died. I replaced with new D-Link switch DGS-2208 connected same manner; does not show connectivity and no data flows. The lights work and blink as expected, but no data flow. If I connect router to Linksys Hub EFAH05W, then connect D-Link 2208 to the uplink port on the hub, then the 2208 shows connectivity and data flows ok. Why does 2208 not connect same way as 1008? Can't get Gbit LAN to work as it previously did. Tried two different 2208 devices; both work same way, and neither works when connected directly to router. What's up? Thanks for help.

makes sense, except that I connect router to LinkSys hub, then to D-Link switch then D-Link works ok...and can either be connected LinkSys LAN port or the UpLink port and it works ok. Use all different cables I have for Linksys, does not matter. Use the D-Link cable that came in the box with the switch, connect to router per instruction manual, does not work. confused. Thanks for help.
Any resolution to this problem? I'm experiencing the same thing.
