Unfortunately without having a xbox live account all your achievements I'm afraid are lost. Next time before to link your account to at least a Silver membership (the free one) that way if you ever accidentally delete or lose your profile information, you can just recover your gamer tag from Xbox Live along with all your gamer info.

One more question though, does your 20gig hdd still contain your profile and gamer achievements? If so, you could most likely just copy it onto a memory card over to your 120gb hdd.

Also the reason its only 117gb, is the same reason all hdd are not the same size they are advertised. The manufacturer assumes 1000mB = 1GB when in reality 1024mB = 1GB. So 120,000mB (which is the physical size of the hard drive) divided by 1024mB = ~117GB.

Playstation 3 (PS3) Console: i put in my resident evil game and it said theres ...

Your PS3 may have an error in the harddrive that causes this, I recommend that you buy a new harddrive that is cheap. and copy save data onto it then clear all memory on the original harddrive. It may also be a corrupted save.

It may be that your machine can not handle a drive of that size. When I replace hard drives I always try to replace them with the size they came with just in case they do not support a larger size.

Hard drives can make a little noise when you shake it gently, but to hear clicking sounds when it's running is not a good sign. I dropped a brand new 120 gig hdd for a customers lap top right outside the store. It made noise when I shook it "carefully" but nothing installed. NOTHING..... Tested it. It was dead. Since you say it's an external see if all inside is connected tightly.

Problem accessing memory stick

I had the same problem. I bought a 2 gig memory pro-duo with the adapter and it gave me that error even though it fit just fine. I then tried a 512 memory stick and a 1 gig memory stick and neither one worked it gave me the C:13:01 error code. So I found out the hard way that the camera will not read it. The Sony DSC-S85 will not take memory above a 128. Try the Lexar 64MB memory stick. I just bought 4 and they work perfectly fine.

Adding Memory To My Laptop

Ok I have the same exact model you do and I have also upgraded my memory, Use a pc2700~DDR 333~SO-DIMM RAM. I upgraded with a simple 512mb chip and it worked wonders, The motherboard can handle up to 2gbs but trust me its not neccesary. also the memory will go in at a 45 degree angle then once it is snug in you will push it down flat till it clicks, feels wierd doing it I know but thats how they are. Also the hard drive is very easy to change, but I would recommend you going with a "western digital 'passport' external usb HDD" I went with the 120 gig and its awesome. The backup software on the harddrive it came with is very worth keeping. Also not sure if you knew this already but that laptop has a 'SiSm760GX' Motherboard and it is supporting the AM2 processor class :) . read up on it here, http://www.sis.com/pressroom/pressrelease_000212.htm anyways hope that helped you and good luck. :)
