My sony rear projection tv all of a sudden has blurry picture and slight double vision look with some off coloring. Kind of a redish/pink shadow on all figures in picture which makes a major blurry picture. It happened all of a sudden. Just woke up and it was blurry. The night before was fine. I was told it can not be the rear projection LAMP. What else could it be? Thank you.

Sounds as if your convergence needs to be set. either through the menu on the tv or remote you need to get to the convergence set screen and you need to line up the crosshairs. this usually happens when the tv is moved or bumped.

My television was working perfectly fine. All of sudden now its text has a pinkish purple shady and the picture is blurry. HELP! I dont want to replace my tv!!!!
I got the same problme this morning and I hav enot bumped or move dthe TV. It does have a self aligning button, but that has not helped. The solution posted does look like it makes sense. Its strange that the Sonys are all going out at the same time.
