There are two slots for memory on that laptop and it will take a maximum of 2GB of RAM. The memory type is 1.8-V SODIMM DDR-2.
The cover ont he bottom if the laptop is easy to access and add more memory.

Ram upgrading

u can check with Dell...but mind it...there is a limit to up ur RAM....though u may upgrade ur RAM to 7GB ur processor may not be able to handle that much of data that travels thru the RAM....so beyond a limit any extra RAM is of no use....
so check with Dell how much RAM it can hold to the MAX

There isn't anything you can do. The amount of ram that a computer can hold or process is dictated by the motherboard that the manufacturer installed
