If it did not come with a PSU at all, you'll need screws that can hold a new one in place. Do not connect a power cord to it until after you connect everything. Just connect the plugs to one that matches. The way the plugs are designed, you do not need to worry about connecting them wrong; if a plug is backwards or doesn't fit, it won't go in.

WARNING: Before you start troubleshooting remember that you are dealing with electricity that can KILL.

http://www.kitchentablecomputers.com/static.php - rules

Unplug all electronic cords connected to the computer.

At no time during the installation should any cords be connected to the computer.

Remove the screws holding the computer cover case, and remove the cover case.

Locate the computer power supply box, which looks like a large box out of which a bundle of wires run and connects to the power cord jack on the outside of the computer case.

Unplug the power cables from the internal devices connected to it.

Be careful not to damage any of the sensitive control boards or devices inside the computer, and be certain to remember--write it down if you need to--what devices will need reconnecting to the new power supply when you finish the installation.

Unscrew the power supply from the inside of the computer case and remove it. Check the original power supply's red voltage switch for the correct setting.

It should read 120 or 240 if you live within the United States.

Confirm this setting as the correct voltage setting for your power outlets.

Make sure your new power supply gets set to the correct voltage setting before you install it.

If it cannot be set to the correct voltage, do not proceed with the installation or you may damage your computer.

Return the new power supply and buy one that is compatible with the voltage requirements.

Install the new power supply, reattach the screws that will hold it in the proper place inside the computer.

Reattach the power cables that come from the new power supply to the devices that were connected to the old power supply.

Make sure all of these connections are firmly in place before you turn the computer back on.

Reattach the computer power cables and all the cords connected to the computer during normal operation, but do not close the computer case yet.

Keep your hands clear of the inside of the computer case as you attach power cords and peripheral devices.

Turn the computer on and observe the performance of the computer without touching anything inside.

Do all the computer fans function normally?

Does the computer operate as well as or better than before?

If you feel that the computer behaves normally and you do not encounter any problems, turn the computer off, remove all the power cords and peripheral cables once more, and close the computer case.

Then reattach the power cords and peripheral cables and begin using the computer.

Check for errors if you encountered any problems starting the computer or if it would not start at all, unplug all the power cords and computer cables connected to the computer and look inside.

Make sure that you connected all the correct power cables inside the computer securely and did not miss any.

If you have confirmed this and the computer still doesn't start or operate normally, call your computer manufacturer or a professional computer repair shop for assistance completing the installation

Hello, You might have a bad motherboard and need to replace.
First, I know its a pain but disconnect and reconnect all cables verify that your not missing one of your power cables look for any connections on the board that don't have cables hooked up to it. take extra care when hooking up your power button cable. Its easy to accidentally place them in the wrong pin.

Computer won't power up. opened case to replace hard drive. After replacing the hard drive the computer would not power up. Reinstalled the old hard drive and still the computer won't start up.

Check your connection between the power supply and the motherboard. Is it possible that your power supply was getting weak instead of the hard drive you replaced? First check the power connection and then try another power supply. If a different power supply boots the computer then you know that it may not have been a problem with your hard drive. You didn't say why you replaced the hard drive.

The t.v powers on for just a second and clicks off. I can hear a click from the back and it recycles off/on over and over.

open the set remove all but the ac cord connectors from the power supply; label them first! turn on the tv if the power supply does not recycle turn off the set and, connect and, disconnect each cable one at a time going to the power supply turning the set on and, off each time as you test until the power supply cycles (fails) again then repair or, replace the circuit board that causes the power supply to fail. if the power supply cycles on and, off (fails) with all connectors but, the ac cord disconnected repair or, replace the power supply.

Hoover 0910dryer not heating. element replaced not long ago

Hi, the possible causes are: Possible Causes: The wall receptacle, power cord (plug) and electrical supply must be in good condition and wired correctly for the dryer to heat.
  • Supply Issue - Loose or missing connection on supply wire from circuit breaker.
  • Plug Issue - Loose or missing connection in the wall. Defective, worn or damaged wall plug.
  • Cord Issue - Loose, missing or incorrect connection of the power cord to the dryer terminals.
If gas dryer and does not heat, Gas Dryer heats with a gas burner, make sure the gas supply line valve is open.
Also, for electric dryer,
Electric dryers require two 30 amp breakers or fuses in the house electrical box to run and heat. If one breaker is tripped or one fuse is blown, the motor, the timer and lights can work but the dryer will not heat.

I need to find replacement ground (thumb screw) for vector 024

ground it off on the case...any grounding method should work. Unless you are talking about the main connection terminals... then just replace the missing thumb screw with a short screw and an eyelette type connecter.

Missing part

Charger does't connect to DVD player.

Connects to battery. Built your own, Radio Shack, female to male jack, power supply from anything handy or spend $2 at thrift shop, $2 multimeter (Harbor Freight, Cheapo), junk variable resistor (pot).

7.4--8 V adjust. Or, get fixed value resistor dependent on PS voltage.

Charge anything,

And power supply for DVD house current.
