SOURCE: TV turned off by itself and now blinks red led 6 times

6 blinks means a low B error. Which is no DD 6volt output on G1 board . This will cause no picture and no sound. To fix this yourself you would need the manual to get the correct sequence to test and proper part to order. same problem as others 3 blinking green lights then orangey colors then 3 red blinking lights afterwards shuts down fan runs for about 2 mins solution check your door cover for warpage or deformed just a bit under set screw there is a push in switch try and push it in with q tip while holding turn on tv if it works then that door is deformed and defective change it

I think this sounds like my problem (need to replace the projector lamp). However, when I hit the "on" button, my SXRD 50" blinks green for about a minute then starts blinking red. Can you confirm the bulb solution? I was very pleased with this sight when my fan malfunctioned. I got the fan in a matter of day's from Sony and it fixed that problem.

There is a problem with one or two of the diodes on the G board.
Zero Crossing Detector 9 times 9:0 or 9:1
Probable cause • D6116 or D6301 is open (G Board)
symptom • No picture
