It starts right up. But once the blades start it runs for a few seconds then dies. THis also happens sometime with the auger put into drive. It just dies?

it is possible the engine is starving for fuel, so essentially it is a carburetor problem with fuel mixture.
Check and see if your carburetor has mixture adjustment needles, there may be an adjustment possible to fix this problem.
Also, sometimes a tiny vent hole in the carb caseing gets clogged causing the engine to run rough or stall.
Does your engine seem to run better if you close the Choke ?
