Need to down load videos and DOS mode won't let me
SOURCE: How do you turn off DOS mode on a 13" MacBook Pro?
Is this a trick question? There is no "DOS mode" on a MacBook Pro.
Do you have WIndows installed as part of Boot Camp, and your machine is booting into Windows? To boot back into the Mac, either use the Boot Camp control panel in Windows, or hold down the Option key after you hear the startup chime and select the OS X partition to boot from.

The Mac does not have a DOS mode to turn off. If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response Thanks, Joe
It does have a command line mode called 'Single User Mode' where UNIX commands can be executed. Get into SUM by holding Command S at startup.
To go back to the Mac OS X interface, type 'reboot' and press the Return key.
