SOURCE: Toshiba Satellite Touchpad not working
Restore the defaults in the BIOS to begin with, this will make sure its not a setting in there that is disabling the mousepad.
Then in windows see if the touchpad is working. If not then take the keyboard out with the power turned off.
When you take the keyboard out you will see the ribbon cable that comes from underneath the touchpad. disconnect it from the motherboard and reseat it firmly back in. Then turn back on the motherboard and see if the mousepad works. If it still doesn't then try the shortcut key to enable it.
If it does't enable then that means its either going to be a mousepad problem where you would have to replace the top cover assembly or a motherboard problem cause it could be where the voltage required to run that mousepad is missing.

Hello,
See if F10 or F11 are lit. If so press Fn and the key that has a light below it to deactivate it.
If you cannot login, use a USB keyboard to bypass that hurdle and run Windows to reconfigure.
Hope it helps.

Dear sheetaldevbr,
Try to connect you video set (cam, speaker,Mic set) to another computer, to find out that probably the problem is in your Laptop PC. Or try to reconfigure your microphone by setting them up on Control panel.
Follow these steps:
Start>ControlPanel>Sound,Speech and Audio Device and rearrange your Mic Device driver. Or If you run the complete Office (at least 2003) try to run the speech recognition on office and run the training and you can also reconfigure your mic in Micrososft Office software.
GoodLuck!
Best regards,
bionic23
