ARE YOU HAVING PROBLEMS GETTING ANY MUSIC ONTO THE PHONE? OR JUST DOWLOADING AND PURCHASING FROM AMAZON? I USE A MICRO DS CARD READER AND DRAG AND DROP (YOU CAN ALSO JUST CONNECT THE PHONE VIA USB PORT TO YOUR COMP) , ITS EASY AND FAST. IF YOU ARE USING ANOTHER MUSIC PROGRAM I.E. LIMEWIRE YOU MAY HAVE MUSIC ON YOUR COMPUTER ALREADY, SIMPLY BUY A CARD READER FOR A MISCRO SD CARD, INSERT THE CARD, OPEN THE DRIVE WHICH AS THE CARD, OPEN YOUR MUSIC FILES AND DRAG AND DROP THEM, YOU CAN ADD PHOTOS THIS WAY TOO, SUPER QUICKM, SUPER EASY. NOT SURE ABOUT PROBLEMS BUYING IT ON THE PHONE ITSELF THOUGH,I HAVE NO NEED FOR THAT , HOPE THIS WILL HELP A BIT.

Device keeps saying format error, cannot play music

Format error means the file type is incorrect. you may have downloaded MP4 or WAV files. They need to be MP3 I imagine and be in te same bitrate as the player. The player probably came with software for converting files to the proper format.

It keeps saying file error

Check the format of the music you are playing and if you have music that requires the license it will load the music but not play. It will show up as a file error.

Why does it say error when i put on song onto my gpx mp3 player?

sEVERAL POSSIBILITIES:
* You downloaded protected music on your Windows 98/98SE, Windows 2000, Windows XP computer using Windows Media Player 9. Music was purchased online or the music was ripped form your own audio CD with Copyright Protection turned ON.
o You must use Windows XP and Windows Media Player 10 for online purchased songs.
o You must turn OFF Copy Protection on your Windows Media Player 9 before ripping your audio CDs into WMA files
* You downloaded protected music to your MP3 player using your Windows XP computer and Windows Media Player 10 with your player in USB mode. Music was downloaded from the internet, purchased or subscribed, or it was ripped from your own audio CD with Copyright protection turned ON.
o You have to use your MW3836 in MTP mode.
