Uninstall the Microsoft LifeCam and disconnect your camera.
Go to this site: http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/435/241&cl=us,en

Download the software for the QuickCam Ultra Vision 5. Save to your hard disk and then run the program.
Reinstall the LifeCam software and then plug in the camera. LifeCam will use the Logitech Drivers and your camera should work fine.

SOURCE: Microsoft webcam VX 6000. Buzz on video capture

I took the cam apart, removed the mic from its seat and gently separated the red and black wires - ran the red one over top the lens and the black one underneath. Replaced the mic, screwed it all back together and the problem is gone. For now. One tip is to record sound using Windows Sound Recorder while you're doing this, watch the input line and when it goes flat you know the buzz is gone. While it buzzez, the line will be active.

SOURCE: no sound on webcam video call ONLY

You will probably need to reconfigure whatever software you are using for the video call to pull audio from the Onboard Mic from the Cam. If it is not configured to pull the audio from that Mic on the Cam, it may be looking for audio somewhere else. This is sadly an issue with a lot of Video Chat software applications.

I can't upload my Nikon coolpix s2500 photos to my computer even though I have installed ViewNX2 from Disk supplied

ViewNX won't download pictures from your camera. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Nikon Transfer or Picasa.

My webcam won't turn off (the light is still on, showing it's still functioning), & I'm not on any program that is involving the webcam.

Did you try restarting your computer....?????
If the problem still persists then I would advise you to press the windows key and R. You will get the run dialogue box. In it type MSCONFIG.
Turn off all program's related with your webcam and your laptop manufacturer(you can turn it on anytime you wish to) in both services and startup. Now restart. It should have gone. And even then if it's there I would advise you to call the manufacturers and claim your warranty if it's still there.

LifeCam HD-5000 not seen by my Sony VAIO running xp. Dont know whats wrong

I have had the same problem with my HD-5000. First open my computer and check if it is seen in there. if not restart the computer and then connect the device. The restart process is standard for any plug and play devices. This helps because the computer usage is at it's minimal. If this does not work go into your startup preferences and stop some of your programs from opening when you turn on the computer. Then retry this method. Hope this helps.

I have a problem with my Microsoft NX-6000 webcam and when I open the program with the camera attached it says "There is no camera connected to this computer" and it will not be detected on the computer...

Run a registry scan for free using www.glarysoft.com, disconnect the camera and get the latest drivers from Microsoft. Then re-install the camera using the new drivers. If that doesn't work, the camera is probably damaged.

Does skype work with Microsoft LifeCam VX-6000? I've got the current driver using windows 7.

Before you can use your webcam in any chat program you have to configure it to that program

Test your webcam here to make sure it broadcasts ok - Hit 'Allow' in the top window and check your cam in the left hand panel.

http://www.testmycam.com/

working OK ?

CONFIGURE TO SKYPE
Connect webcam
Its good practice to disconnect and re-connect your webcam before you start (To reboot the webcam software) - if you have been using it elsewhere the SKYPE software may have difficulty in locating it, even if you exited the previous program correctly.
The reason being, the webcam software can remain hooked-up to a program and needs to be rebooted.
Mine, I just unplug it from the USB and plug it back in to reboot the software.
If yours is integral with the computer you will have to re-start the computer, use a keyboard shortcut or disable / enable the webcam from the Device Manager.

Start Skype.
On the 'Tools' menu, click 'Options'.
In the navigation pane of the Skype 'Options' window, click 'Audio Settings'
Run down the list setting your defaults
Select your webcam as the default microphone.
Make a free test call
Click 'Save'
In the navigation pane of the Skype Options window, click Video Settings.
This will launch your webcam
Adjust quality of picture in 'Settings'
Check the correct webcam is shown as default
Click Save
Test your webcam by making a Skype test call.

When I activate my video on the vx-6000, the other

Does that webcam have a USB plug AND an audio jack to plug into your computer? If so, you don't need to plug in the audio jack connected to it, and that should help with the heavy static the other person gets. Then again, unless you have another mic plugged into your computer on a headset or something, you won't be able to send audio because the mic to the webcam would be unplugged.

I hope this helps.

Normal 0 Try disconnecting the Camera from the USB port and reinstall the CD or Downloaded software program. When the program asks you to connect the camera to the USB port, do so and it should work.
