Windows XP installation

Sounds like your IE is corrupt, uninstall it from Add/Remove programs, this will revert to an older version, visit Windows Updates to re-install.

The image below indicates the minimum and recommended system requirements of WSOP most probably you will be able to play the game. The problem might be your Adobe Flash Player or your Internet Explorer version. If your Windows Xp Home is genuine you might consider updating or download a Mozilla Firefox.

From what I know Windows XP by default have an Internet Explorer v.6.0 that is why you need to update your Windows. by the way you have to download Flash player if you have Internet Explorer v.7. if this does not work try the step below
1. Download the Mozilla Firefox browser and install setup 5.0.1exe. 2. Download Flash Player it will automatically update your Flash.

i have used version 4 on xp, win 7,8, and currently on 10 hope op figured it out. install in compatibility mode

the system doesn't accepts the lower version of windows if you are having the latest version than xp. for thi you must format the two OS softwares and first install lower version i.e., xp and then by dual booting you can also install vista or windows 7. then you can use both versions..

I have checked on the Gateway website for the drivers for the model with XP and it does have them there so I believe the down grade should work

You cant put 2k service packs on XP, try xp's sp3, it may solve the problem

Click here to download the dialafix tool, once installed choose to Flush Software Distribution Folder. Then Click go to repair the windows update files, that will remove the update & let you install any other updates available. Which version on Powerpoint do you have Office XP, 2003 or 2007?

If you use his disk, that will be better, because if it is original HP disk, it should install all original drivers at all, however this may delete all files on the computer depending on the type of installation you do.

Installing an older version of XP home does not make a big difference , as windows will update the system using automatic updates. What must be done, is ensuring that all proper drivers are installed.

Check device manager, in control panel/system, and see if all devices are installed with proper drivers.
